Final Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
5 minutes into the session, a large group of cars has formed on the track. 15+ cars have lined up. They line up down the straights and fan out in the corners. Drivers are looking for clean air in the corners.
We didn’t see groups like this in the first session. Drivers are working on their race runs early in this session.
20 minutes into the session, Kyle Busch is all over the bumper of Alex Bowman. Bowman sits in the top five on the speed charts while Busch sits outside the top 10. Busch can get a run but he can’t complete the pass in the corner.

Stewart-Haas Racing sits at the top of the board yet again. Harvick also leads in 10-lap averages so far.
Denny Hamlin is bottoming out on the race track. Teams are focused on aerodynamics and drag reduction instead of mechanical grip.
9 minutes remaining, Alex Bowman has found speed at the top of the race track. He jumps to the top of the board. A lap later, Bowman has brushed the wall. Very light damage on the right rear just after setting the quickest lap.
4 minutes remain, Larson is sideways by himself at the top of the track. He uses the entirety of the track to save it. He nearly made contact with Truex but it was avoided.
