Alex Bowman issues warning to Joey Logano

Alex Bowman voices frustration with fellow NASCAR driver Joey Logano

Last week, Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman stole all the headlines as Bowyer threw multiple punches in rapid fire succession. But, that’s not the only disagreement between drivers as they left Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Also last week, Alex Bowman was nearly turned in Coke 600 practice. He and Logano rubbed fenders in the practice rounds ahead of the race.

Bowman finished outside the top 10 in stage one after starting 13th. But, he was a contender for the race win as he finished 2nd in stage two, 6th in stage three. The end result was 7th place run in the Coca-Cola 600.

Along the way, we saw three and four wide restarts throughout the race. That led to contact between Joey Logano and Alex Bowman.

Alex Bowman on Joey Logano

“He about crashed us in practice and then he drove into turn one and tried to turn us,” Alex Bowman reflects on Joey Logano from last week at Charlotte.

“So, I don’t know. I like Joey a lot and it is what it is. We’re all racing hard. I’m not super mad about it. I just thought it was dumb, was all.”

“I think everybody has to race everybody hard with this package, right? There’s not a lot of room for give and take.”

“But, there was a good chunk of the race left. It was pretty unnecessary. I probably wouldn’t have been as mad as I was about it if he didn’t about crash us in practice. Which I thought was really unnecessary.”

“But, it’s all good and he’ll get his, for sure,” Bowman concluded in the Pocono Raceway media center.
