Brown County Speedway Results: July 16, 2019 (Lucas Oil Late Models)

Lap 2, Moyer Jr is slow and the caution is out.

Green, Sheppard leads. He and Davenport break away.

Lap 6, Tyler Erb is slow with a flat and the caution is back out.

Green, Sheppard holds the lead. He drives off to win the first heat race of the night!

Heat 2 – Report

Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie lead them to the line in heat three. Green, Richards slides from the bottom to the top in turn one, clear.

McCreadie and Norris fight for space into turn two. They bang doors, McCreadlie loops it and falls over the outside track limits.

The caution is out and McCreadie will restart at the tail.

Green, Stormy Scott wins the race into turn one. Richards holds 2nd. McCreadie is flying through the field.

Stormy Scott takes the win in heat two!

Heat 3 – Report

Kyle Bronson and Devin Moran head to the flag stand in heat three. Green, Bronson slides from the bottom to the top and clear in turn one.

Moran runs wide off turn two. He took the long way but has a bunch of momentum into turn three. Moran is sideways in turn four, several drive by.

Lap 8, Hudson O’Neal is on the bumper of the race leader. He loses drive off turn two and Bronson opens the gap.

Kyle Bronson wins the final heat race of the night!

Main Event – Report

Brandon Sheppard and Stormy Scott set the front row. $10,000 is up for grabs in tonight’s main event.

A brief rain shower rolled through after hot laps. Now, more rain is on the way. They line up in a four wide salute for the South Dakota dirt racing fans. We’re off.

Green flag, Sheppard leads into turn one. Stormy Scott is putting up a fight on the outside but he drops to the bottom and holds 2nd.

Josh Richards moves to the top. He drives around Stormy Scott, takes over 2nd and drops to the bottom.

Lap 10, the caution is out.

Green, Sheppard punches it in turn three. He’s clear by three car lengths off turn two.

Davenport works to the outside of Scott to take 3rd.

Lap 20, Richards is on the bumper of the leader. Any lane Sheppard rolls through, Richards does the opposite.

Lap 30, lap traffic sits ahead of the leader. Richards looks for a way through the middle. Sheppard pinches down on the lap car and shuts the door.

Lap 35, Richards drives it deep to the bottom in turn three. Door, bumper, clear off turn four.

Lightning strikes in the distance.

Lap 39, Billy Moyer Jr is slow with a flat right rear and the caution is out.

Hudson O’Neal is slow coming to the green with a flat tire.

Green, Richards leads. Four cars battle under a blanket for 2nd behind him. Scott moves back to 2nd. McCreafie takes 3rd after starting 11th.

Richards is pulling away. McCreadie works the bottom on Scott and takes over 2nd.
