Pre qualifying NASCAR inspection failure
Ahead of qualifying, teams rolled through the inspection line at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
One failed inspection, no harm. Teams get to roll through again to try and pass the inspectors.
However, Daniel Hemric also failed on the second attempt. The team was able to pass on the third try.
Per the rulebook, NASCAR is allowed to eject a crew member of their choice for two failed inspections in pre-qualifying inspection.
Darin Nestlerode, car chief for the No. 8 has been ejected for the remainder of the race weekend. Richard Childress Racing fields the machine.

Here are the new penalty formats regarding NASCAR inspection:
1 NASCAR inspection failure: No harm, come back and try again.
2 NASCAR inspection failures: Crew member ejected.
3 NASCAR inspection failures: If a team failed three times then they would not be allowed to qualify.
4 NASCAR inspection failures: If a team failed four times then they lose a car chief, miss qualifying and they have to make a pass through on lap 1 of the race.
No team failed 3 times or more during this morning’s inspection session.
