PJ1 has been installed in the outside grooves at the triangle race track. However, nobody used it in the opening round of practice.

Report
Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott have unloaded their backups ahead of this session. Larson’s backup is through tech but they still have some work to do as the green drops on the session.
Chase Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports are a bit further behind as Elliott crashed later in the session than Larson did. Currently, the driver is helping the crew get the backup ready to go.
Bubba Wallace made a brief appearance in the first round of practice. However, the crew has elected to change an engine. Wallace will miss all of final practice.
Matt DiBenedetto is celebrating a birthday today. Halfway in the final practice round, he also sits 2nd on the times sheet.
10 minutes remain, both Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott are on the track for the first time.
