Parker Friesen steals the show with decklid dance in victory lane (Video)

Stewart Friesen drove to victory lane for the first time in the NASCAR race at Eldora Speedway; His son stole the show in victory lane

Midweek, Eldora Speedway hosted the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series on the half-mile Ohio dirt track. The Eldora Dirt Derby is a special one off race, the only dirt race in a NASCAR national series division.

Stewart Friesen stayed out during the caution periods, all of them. He went the entire race without a pit stop. Unsure if the tires would last or if the fuel would make it, he held off the field.

The dirt modified regular, picked up his first NASCAR national series victory on NASCAR’s only national series dirt track.

Friesen was met in victory lane by his wife, Jessica Friesen as well as his son Parker Friesen.

During the victory lane interview, Parker was put on the rear deck led of the race winning truck. He then proceeded to steal the show.

Bob Pockrass: Did you teach him those moves?

“No, I don’t know where he learned that,” Stewart Friesen stated after winning the Eldora Dirt Derby.

“Parker’s unbelievable. He went from not saying a word, a year ago. To now, he just won’t shut up.”

“We get in victory lane with the dirt car a lot. You never know what he’s going to do. He takes the flag and he pokes photographers. It’s just a riot.”

“It was cool. He’s dancing. We finally got a picture with the three of us. It’s so special to get the win. We’ve been close before when Jess and him weren’t here. It’s just really special to have them with us.”
