Orange County Fair Speedway set for NASCAR Trucks exhibition event

Today, Stewart Friesen and Sheldon Creed will unload for a race at the dirt track during $100,000 to win weekend

Orange County Fair Speedway is a 5/8 mile hard clay track located in Middletown, NY. NASCAR Truck Series competitor Stewart Friesen regularly competes at the track in his open wheel modified.

Stewart Friesen recently claimed his first NASCAR National Series win. That win came at Eldora Speedway in NASCAR’s only dirt race for the NASCAR Truck Series.

On August 15th-17th, 2019 the track will celebrate 100 years of track history with a massive payout. The Centennial Race Weekend featuring rhe Super DIRT Series Battle of the Midway 100 will pay $100,000 to win.

Friesen will haul in his #44 modified to compete in the show. But, that’s not the only car he’s hauling into the race track.

Both Stewart Friesen and Sheldon Creed will bring their NASCAR race trucks to the 5/8-mile dirt track. These two finished 1st and 2nd in the 2019 Eldora Dirt Derby.

Both haulers and NASCAR race trucks were on display at the track starting Friday, August 16th. On Saturday, they’ll race them.

Friesen and Creed will roll their race trucks onto the speedway. They’ll run a 10-lap exhibition race. It marks the first time in history that NASCAR Truck Series trucks race on the New York dirt track.

Sheldon Creed will also compete in the open wheel modified division and chase the $100,000 payout.

Michael Waltrip will also be on hand to make an appearance. However, the former Daytona 500 isn’t scheduled to race anything at the track.
