Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 125

Green, Hamlin is clear on the outside off turn two.

Lap 3, Hamlin gets loose on the top. Larson closes to his bumper and Hamlin drops down to the bottom.

Lap 15, Hamlin moves to the top in anticipation of the lap car ahead. He gets loose and nearly tags the wall. Larson drives by on the bottom, new leader.

Lap 25, Hamlin is back on the bumper of Larson. He looks to the outside and clear. Hamlin back to the lead.

Lap 40, Hamlin is pinned behind the lap car of McDowell. Larson has a clear land on the bottom, Larson back to the lead.

Lap 46, Hamlin has a run on the top. Larson leaves the lane open and Hamlin drives back to the lead on the top.

Lap 68, Joey Logano heads to the pits with a flat tire. Its a slow stop under green.

Lap 80, Austin Dillon has a flat. He and Johnson tag the wall. Race leader Denny Hamlin rubs doors with Johnson and the caution is out.

Pit stops

The field heads for the pit lane. Larson is out first. Hamlin falls outside the top 10 as the crew pulled out the fenders.

Green, Larson is clear before turn one.

2 to go in stage one, Larson slides the lap car. Elliott backs up his entry and crosses under Larson off turn four.

They run side by side. Larson is clear into turn three. Kyle Larson wins stage one in the Bristol night race!

Stage 2 – Report

The leaders head for the pit lane. Elliott wins the race to the pit exit and Larson is off 2nd.

Green, Elliott is clear into turn one.

Lap 165, Harvick and Truex are on the bumper of the leader. Harvick works the top with Elliott on the bottom. Harvick drives right by.

Lap 187, Hamlin heads to the pit lane under green with a loose wheel. Four tires for him.

Lap 188, Almirola cuts across the nose of Yaley and turns himself into the outside wall. Heavy damage and the caution is out.

Pit stops

The field heads for the pit lane. Harvick is first in and Truex is first off.

Green, Truex leads as Larson follows him to 2nd on the outside. Blaney fights back to move into 2nd.

Lap 213, Almirola is around on his own and the caution is out. Hamlin took the wave around on the last caution, he’s now just one lap down and can head to the pit lane. Kyle Busch is now back on the lead lap with a free pass.

Green, Truex leads Blaney. Kurt Busch has found speed around the top, he swings to 3rd.

Kurt Busch works to the right rear of Blaney. Blaney shuts the door and Busch lifts. The next lap, Kurt Busch to 2nd.

Lap 243, Clint Bowyer cuts across the nose of a lap car and spons himself out. The yellow is out.

Pit stops

Most of the leaders head for the pit lane. Kurt Busch stays out abd Hamlin gets the free pass, he’s back on the lead lap. Harvick heads to the garage with transmission issues!

Kurt Busch is clear into turn one. He cruises away to win stage two at Bristol Motor Speedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 250

The rest of the field heads for the pit lane. Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott lead them to the restart.

Green, Busch is clear before turn one. Keselowski moves to 2nd and he quickly runs down the bumper of the leader.

Lap 264, Keselowski heads to the bottom, rolls the center and clear off corner exit. Keselowski leads with 28 laps fresher tires.

Lap 331, Kyle Busch hasn’t been to the pit lane in 114 laps but he holds 2nd. Denny Hamlin is up to 9th after going 2 laps down early.

Lap 350, Kyle Busch is on the bumper of Keselowski. Busch heads to the bottom. Keselowski gets into the marbles and Busch drives by on the inside.

Alex Bowman is in the wall with a mechanical issue. Logano slams into the back of him and Byron slams into Lagano. Truex also catches the wall with a flat tire and the yellow is out.

Pit stops

The field heads for the pit lane. Kyle Busch is first in and first off.

Green, Kyle Busch leads Erik Jones into turn one.

Erik Jones dives to the bottom and takes the lead. Big stack up behind them. Brandy had a mechanical issue and he goes straight into the corner. Blaney collects Stenhouse, Johnson, McDowell and more. The caution is out.

Hamlin returns to the pit lane with a loose wheel. Larson pits to fix fender damage.

Green, Erik Jones is clear before turn one. Kyle Busch and Elliott run side by side for 2nd. Matt DiBenedetto looks to the outside and makes it three wide for 2nd. DiBenedetto takes the 2nd spot.

Lap 395, DiBenedetto is on the bumper of the leader. Jones moves to the top to block. DiBenedetto to the bottom!

DiBenedetto is nearly clear. Jones fights back on the top. Jones get loose, in the marbles and brushes the wall. DiBenedetto leads!

Jones heads to the pits under green.

45 to go

45 to go, Denny Hamlin has charged through the field. He just worked by Elliott to take 2nd. Hamlin is on 14 laps fresher tires. DiBenedetto leads by 1.5 seconds.

Newman pinches DiBenedetto and the leader is forced to lift. Hamlin has cut the gap to a second.

22 to go, DiBenedetto leads by a half second. Heavy lap traffic ahead.

18 to go, Hamlin is there. DiBenedetto moves to the top and takes Hamlin’s lane away. They run nose to tail around the top.

12 to go, Hamlin cuts to the bottom. They run even off the corner and fender fenders. Lap traffic rides the high line ahead and Hamlin moves to the lead on the bottom!
