World 100 Feature
Group A – Report

Laps: 25

A little bit of track work is going on just ahead of the A Main. Several drivers suffered heavy damage through a hole in turn one. Most of the field was forced to enter below it or risk the rear end being ripped out.

Track officials have filled the hole in with dirt pulled from the cushion. They’ve then packed it in with a heavy duty roller.

Dennis Erb Jr and Hudson O’Neal will set the front row in the first of two main events. The race winner of this one will load up with a check for $10,000.

They line up in a four wide salute for the Eldora dirt track racing fans. The start is up next…

Green flag, Hudson O’Neal noses ahead on the top into turn one. Jonathan Henry follows him through on the top to take 2nd.

Lap 3, the caution is out as Michael Page is slow.

Green, O’Neal and Henry are even into turn one. O’Neal drives it deep on the bottom, slides to the top and leads in turn two.

Henry anticipated all that. He was already turning off the cushion. He has a run down the hill as he crosses under O’Neal off turn two. Henry takes the lead into turn three.

Lap 11, Henry leads by 5 car lengths. But, Hudson O’Neal is closing back in on him as the leader has caught the tail of the field.

Lap 12, Jonathan Henry looks to the inside of the lap car of Cody Evans. They both move into the same spot. Henry clips in in the right front. Henry is turned right into the wall and Evans is taken with him. Hudson O’Neal clips them with his right rear as he goes by. Complete chaos at the front and the caution is out!

Green, Norris and Erb split Hudson O’Neal as they run three wide for the lead into turn one. Hudson O’Neal tries to slide it to the top but Norris was already there. O’Neal comes across the nose of Norris and Hudson O’Neal is in the wall. The caution is back out and O’Neal heads to the pits.

Green, Norris and Dennis Erb run side by side for the lead into turn one. Shanon Buckingham drives it to the bottom to make it three wide for the lead into turn one. Dennis Erb Jr comes out with the lead!

Lap 21, Jameson is riding the wall and he’s fast. He runs down Busckingham and slides him in turn three. Busckingham crosses under him and retakes 2nd.

Lap 23, Jameson slides Buckingham for 2nd. Busckingham crosses under him once more. Lap 24, Madden slides Busckingham for 2nd and holds the position.

At the front, Dennis Erb Jr has driven away. He takes the win in the first main event of the night at Eldora Speedway!

Lap 10, Rice leads Bloomquist by 0.7 seconds.

Lap 12, Davenport has found speed right against the wall. He has a run on Bloomquist off turn two. He cuts to the bottom and slides him in turn three. Davenport takes 2nd.

Lap 14, Davenport has a run on Rice off turn four. They run even at the line. Rice tags the wall in turn one. Davenport moves to the lead on the bottom.

Lap 17, Scott James is in the wall and the caution is out.

Green, Davenport leads. Bronson makes contact with Rice off turn four for 2nd. Bronson moves to 2nd.

Lap 20, Johnny Scott is around the caution is out.

Green, Davenport leads. Lanigan and Bronson run side by side for 2nd, Lanigan takes the spot.
