Eldora Speedway race results from the final night of the dirt late model show

Tonight, it’s the final night of the three-day show at the Rossburg, Ohio dirt track. Eldora Speedway is set to host the 100-lap main event of the World 100.

Laps: 100

John Blankenship and Bobby Pierce set the front row for the main event. The field rolls out of the pit area.

The track has drastically changed since these drivers ran their heat races. It’s slicked off significantly and we’ll likely see all lanes in use.

The 30 car field lines up in a four wide salute for the Ohio dirt racing fans. After three days of racing, the main event is up next…

Green flag, they rub doors at the launch. Blankenship leads on the bottom into turn one. Pierce fights back on the top. He gets to his right rear off turn two and Pierce swings to the lead into turn three.

Lap 5, Pierce is on the cushion and pulling away.

Lap 8, Davenport is moving on the bottom. He just moved into 5th and he’s on the bumper of Weiss for 4th.

Lap 10, Pierce has caught the tail of the field. Pierce is struggling to work around the lap car of RJ Conley. Blankenship cuts the gap in half.

Lap 18, most of the leaders run against the outside wall. Davenport continues to work the bottom, he’s been there this whole race. Davenport to 4th.

Lap 23, Davenport runs side by side with Zeigler for 3rd. Davenport clicks on by to take the spot.

Lap 25, Davenport is side by side with Blankenship for 2nd.

Lap 31, Chase Junghans is around and the caution is out. Pierce had a 3 second lead at the time of the caution, that’s gone.

Green, Davenport noses ahead on the bottom into turn one. Pierce knocks the cushion. Davenport leaves room off turn two. Pierce stays on the cushion in turn three. Pierce pulls even and clear. Pierce retakes the lead at the line.

Shane Clanton and Brian Shirley tangle down the back stretch. The caution is out.

Green, Davenport noses ahead on the bottom. Pierce knocks the cushion and swings back to the lead on the outside off turn two.

Lap 34, Jimmy Owens slides Blankenship for 3rd. Owens started in 12th.

Lap 45, Pierce struggles once again with the lap car of RJ Conley. Davenport closes to his bumper.

Lap 49, Davenport moves to the lead off turn four. Pierce takes it right back in turn one and he clears the lap car of Conley.

Lap 54, Pierce tries to split the lap cars of Scott and Ferguson but he lifts. Davenport trails by 3 car lengths.

Lap 60, Pierce leads but Davenport is on his bumper. Davenport has abandoned the bottom and now runs a lane lower than Pierce.

Lap 63, Davenport works to the lead but he’s held up by the lap car of Clanton. Pierce drives right back to the lead on the top.

Lap 64, Ricky Weiss slides Davenport for 2nd. Davenport crosses him and Weiss slides him once more to hold the position.

Lap 65, Pierce taps the wall and Weiss closes. Davenport is right there with them. Three cars under a blanket for the lead.

Lap 68, Davenport works under Weiss and he’s going for the lead. Davenport leads into turn one with a great drive off the bottom in turn four.

Lap 80, Davenport leads Weiss by 3 seconds. Madden is on the move, he runs 4th after starting 21st.

Lap 84, Pierce knocks the cushion at the turn one entry and the nose is turned right into the outside wall. Tyler Erb clips him as Pierce slows. Pierce comes to a stop with heavy damage and the caution is out.

Green, Davenport leads into turn one. Weiss holds 2nd. Madden doesn’t have a short run car.

Lap 90, Davenport leads Weiss by 2.5 seconds.

Lap 93, Frank Heckenast Jr has a flat and the caution is out.

Green, Davenport and Weiss run even into turn one! Weiss runs wide and brushes the outside wall. Davenport leads on the bottom as Owens moves to 2nd.

Lap 95, Davenport leads Owens by 1.5 seconds.
