Qualifying – Report
Laps: 1
The first 19 cars set group A qualifying. These cars qualified outside the top 20 last week. Their order in this session is set by a random draw.
Cars will be full throttle on their qualifying laps. The new rules package has allowed that to happen.
Chase Elliott is out late in group A. He lost time at corner entry but made it all back on corner exit. Momentum gets it done.
Denny Hamlin is the last car in group A. He takes a wide ride around the track on his get up to speed lap. He’s building momentum coming to the line, like a superspeedway race. Hamlin bottoms out in turn two and he loses ground.
Chase Elliott is quickest in group A qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway!
