Dover
Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
Turns 1-2 have seen
a 10mph increase while turns 3-4 are up 13mph over this same race last year.
The new rules package is the cause of that.
40 minutes remain,
Denny Hamlin is mentioning “slow steering” after his first run of the
weekend.
35 minutes remain, Kyle Larson drops into the corner. The left front of the splitter clips the apron, he nearly loses the car but saves it. Larson heads right back to the garage. The crew takes a grinder to the side skirts.
Halfway in NASCAR practice at Dover: 1. Joey Logano (22.056); 2. Kyle Larson (22.634); 3. Kevin Harvick (22.650); 4. Jimmie Johnson (22.746); 5. Alex Bowman (22.746); 6. William Byron (22.754); 7.
