JTG Daugherty Racing had a hauler fire on the way to the race track. The backup car for Chris Buescher has been unloaded for Ryan Preece in this practice session. Hendrick Motorsports has helped them with a hauler and pit equipment.

Duration: 50 minutes
I long line of cars have lined up at the edge of the pit lane. Teams are eager to get to the track for the first time this weekend. 20+ cars hit the track as the green is out.
34 minutes remain, Jimmie Johnson rolls to lane three. He’s the first guy to test out that lane. He kicks up nothing but debris and drops back to the bottom. The top will come in at some point in the weekend.
30 minutes remaining, Ryan Blaney heads to the bottom in turn three and chases it up the hill.
Halfway

20 minutes remain, Kyle Busch is in lane three as Kyle Larson works to his inside. Busch gets completely sideways off turn two as he’s the next one to brush off the dust.
15 minutes remain, Suarez continues to lead the session. Hamlin is 2nd and the highest of the NASCAR Playoff drivers.
Many drivers are using this session to make race runs. Qualifying isn’t until tomorrow afternoon.
Less than a minute remains, Brad Keselowski jumps to the top of the board!
