Qualifying was scrapped and replaced with a practice session that was rained out on Friday. As a result, the field has been set by points.
The championship four control the front two rows. Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick lead the field to the flag stand.

Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 80 (1-80)
Green flag, Harvick and Hamlin run even into turn one. Truex pushes Hamlin on the bottom but Harvick still gets a run around the top. Harvick leads into turn three.
Lap 20, Martin Truex Jr is running down Kevin Harvick for the lead. Harvick heads to the bottom. Truex is on the throttle through the middle. Truex is on his right rear and he clears him off turn two.
Lap 28, Kyle Larson has found speed right against the outside wall. It’s early to be doing that but he drives right by Harvick and Hamlin to take over 2nd.
Lap 25, Truex leads Larson by 3 seconds.
Pit cycle
Lap 36, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick head for the pit lane under green. Denny Hamlin comes to the pits a lap later. Lap 39, Martin Truex Jr pits from the race lead.
Martin Truex Jr cycles back to the race leader. Larson trails by 4 seconds.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 80 (81-160)
The field returns to the pit lane. Truex is first in and first off.
Green flag on stage two, Larson is on the bumper of Kyle Busch on the bottom. Kyle Busch clears Truex on the bottom into turn one.
Truex runs high into turn three. He’s got a run off the corner. Truex crosses under him into turn one. Truex moves up the banking and puts Busch back into dirty air.
Lap 96, Harvick and Busch dice. Larson closes on both of them and drives by to take over 2nd.
Pit cycle
Lap 118, Denny Hamlin heads to the pit lane to begin the green flag pit cycle. Lap 119, Larson pits. Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick come on lap 120. Lap 121, race leader Martin Truex Jr heads for the pits.
Kyle Busch cycles out ahead of Martin Truex Jr.
Truex has an issue! The pit crew accidentally swapped the front wheels. He returns to the pit lane for four new tires! Truex is now a lap down.
Lap 136, John Hunter Nemechek is around and the caution is out! Martin Truex Jr will get his lap back!
Pit stops
The field heads for the pit lane. Kyle Busch is first in and first off.
Green, Kyle Larson is on the bumper of Kyle Busch on the outside. Harvick pulls even but Busch has the momentum around the top as they exit the corner.
Lap 144, Harvick heads for the top in turn one. He has a run off the corner. Harvick crosses under Busch into turn three and completes the pass.
5 to go in stage two, Kyle Busch is back on the bumper of Harvick for the lead.
4 to go, Busch drives right to the left rear of Harvick. No contact but Harvick gets loose as Busch drives by down the front stretch.

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 107 (161-267)
The field heads for the pit lane. Kyle Busch is first in and first off.
Green flag on stage three, Kyle Busch gets the jump. Truex Jr gets into the back of Kevin Harvick and jacks him up at the launch. Harvick and Truex are put four wide down the backstretch.
Lap 168, Denny Hamlin has a run off turn four. He heads to the bottom in turn one and clear. Hamlin blocks Busch into turn three but Hamlin runs wide off the corner. Busch works back to the lead.
Lap 196, Truex has climbed to the rear bumper of Harvick. He works to his right rear. Harvick thinks about closing the door off the corner but he leaves the lane open. Truex takes over 3rd.
Pit cycle
60 to go, Kyle Larson heads to the pit lane under green. 59 to go, Denny Hamlin heads to the pit lane. 57 to go, Kyle Busch pits.
Larson returns to the pit lane with an issue. The crew pulls the hood up as he might have a blown engine.
52 to go, Martin Truex Jr pits from the race lead. Harvick has yet to pit, he leads.
50 to go, William Byron coasts on the apron with oil pressure issues.
49 to go, Hamlin is overheating! The crew put on a piece of tape but it’s too big. Water is flowing out of the overflow. 46 to go, Hamlin returns to the pit lane to remove tape and put on four new tires. Hamlin is now a lap down.
44 to go, Kevin Harvick pits from the race lead. Kyle Busch cycles back to be the leader. Truex trails Busch by 10 seconds.
23 to go, Kyle Busch leads Truex by 7 seconds.
12 to go, Denny Hamlin passes the race leader to put himself back on the lead lap.
10 to go, Busch leads Truex by 4.7 seconds.
Kyle Busch wins the race and the championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway!
