Tonight, the three-day show inside The Dome at America’s Center comes to a close. 30 laps of dirt track racing will end with a check for $10,000 being handed to the dirt modified race winner.

Gateway Dirt Nationals
Modified Main – Report
Michael Long and Derek Losh set the front row for the modified main event. The redraw set the top six.
It’s the final race of the weekend. 30 laps of dirt modified racing will pay $10,000 to the winner.
Green flag, Losh leads on the top in turn one.
Bronson drops to the bottom. He takes over 2nd.
Lap 2, Mike Harrison is slow off turn two. The field drives by and the caution is out.
Green, Losh leads. Bronson, Long and Kissinger run three wide for 2nd off turn two. Long has the momentum through the center of them as they head into turn three. Long retakes 2nd.
Trouble in turn one and the caution is out.
Green, Losh leads. Three wide for 2nd once again off turn two. Long holds them off into turn three.
Lap 4, Young, Burdette, Strickler and Steffens stack up against the fence in turn three. The caution is out.
Green, Bronson is working the leader. He drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. He can’t clear him off turn two.
Kyle Steffens is slow as the hood has popped up and blocked his view. The caution is out.
Green, Losh leads. Bronson smacks a rut and he’s under fire for 2nd as he gathers it back up. He holds the spot.
Lap 10, Bollinger is stopped and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson pulls even with Losh as they both bounce through the ruts in turn one. Losh holds the lead.
Tyler Erb started 8th. He’s bouncing it off the wall and up to 4th in the process.
10 to go, Bronson is all over Losh for the lead. Losh smacks a rut off turn two and he’s jacked sideways as a result. Bronson is on the brakes then back to the gas.
Bronson leads into turn three. Losh was pointed to the infield but he gathered it up to hold 2nd.
Losh is running the cushion and bouncing off the wall as he desperately attempts to run the leader back down. Both of these guys are putting on a hell of a show!
Losh has run Bronson back down. He hits another rut and loses ground.
5 to go, caution for debris. It’s all over the track.
Green, Losh is into the rear bumper of Bronson at the start finish line. Bronson holds the lead off turn two.
Tyler Erb is slow just behind them and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads. Losh is all over him.
Coming to the white flag, Bronson knocks a rut off tun four. Losh closes quickly as they take the white.
1 to go, Losh is on the bumper of Bronson into turn one. Bronson to the bottom, Losh to the top.
Losh cuts off the banking and heads to the bottom with momentum. He slams Bronon’s rear bumper in the middle of the corner. He was trying to time a crossover.
Bronson holds the lead off turn two. They head nose to tail into the final corner.
Bronson smacks a rut off turn four. He launches into the air and sideways. Losh drives by on the bottom.
Derek Losh wins the dirt modified portion of the Gateway Dirt Nationals!
