Main Event – Report

Jonathan Beason and Kyle Larson set the front row for the main event. They get a push to the race track.

Green flag, they run even into turn one. Larson drives it deep into turn three on the top and he’s clear.

Derek Hagar is around behind them and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads Beason into turn one. Most of the field runs the top.

Several cars tangle behind them and the caution is out once more.

Green, Larson leads into turn one. Mike Hess cuts to the bottom and attempts a slider on Beason for 2nd. Hess pulls even but can’t complete the slider, Beason holds 2nd.

Lap 5, 3rd through 7th are getting dicey. They’re all but running over each other.

Hunter Schuerenbrg is at the tail of that pack, he catches the inside burm and has stalled. The caution is out.

Green, Larson leads. Hess attempts the slider on Beason once again but can’t get it done.

Lap 8, Thompson smacks the outside wall. Schuerenberg stalls to avoid him. The caution is back out.

Green, Larson leads. Hess noses ahead of Beason with another slider but he still can’t clear him.

Lap 10, Thompson and Guerrini stall and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads. Beason pinches Hess at the entry to turn one to defend the relentless slider.

Lap 13, Zeb Wise has a flat left rear. He’s still rolling but the caution is out. He was inside the top five and he’s now heading to the pit area. The crew can’t get it done in time as we’re coming to one to go.

Green, Larson leads. Beason holds 2nd.

Lap 14, Schuerenberg is around and yet another yellow. He has a flat left front but he gets a push start regardless.

Green, Larson leads Beason. No slide attempt from Hess on this run. Thompson stalls behind them and the caution is back out.

Hess stalls under yellow! He gets a push right back to the pit area.

Green, Larson leads. Beason pulls within a car length off turn two!

Lap 17, Larson and Beason run nose to tail around the top. They break away from 3rd place runner Roger Crockett.

Lap 21, Larson has caught the tail of the field. Lap cars run side by side just ahead of the leader. Beason is on his bumper.

Lap 23, Larson aggressively works the lap cars. He slices through all of them and now three lap cars sit between 1st and 2nd.

Lap 24, Nick Drake and Jake Bubak tangle while running for 4th. Drake flipped after contact with the wall and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads. Beason rides the wall in turn three, Larry White takes over 2nd. Beason quickly takes it back. Larson leads by more than a second.
