Night four of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida
The national dirt late model tour has unloaded in Tampa, Florida. The 1/3-mile dirt track of East Bay Raceway Park is hosting a full week of racing for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Tonight, the purse and lap count remain the same as last night. 40 laps will pay another $7,000 to the feature race winner.
Race Report
Brandon Overton and Tim McCreadie set the front row for tonight’s main event. They exit the pit area and lead the field to the bullring dirt track.
Weather is on the way. If they make it to halfway, it’s official.
Jonathan Davenport, Hudson O’Neal and Earl Pearson Jr all take provisionals. Davenport was leading last night when a crash broke all kinds of stuff. He’s unloaded another one tonight and struggling to get it rolling like the other one.

Green flag, Overton drives it deep into turn one. He’s clear by two car lengths. But, he corner exit speed is sacrificied.
McCreadie looks under him off turn two. Boom Briggs has a run on both of them and looks further inside.
They run three wide for the lead into turn three. Overton holds the lead off turn four.
McCreadie is all over the bumper of the leader. Overton is glued to the cushion. McCreadie looks to the middle for a way by.
Lap 3, car slow and the
caution is out.
Green, Overton leads McCreadie and Bronson. Briggs is still working the bottom. Four cars under a blanket for the lead off turn two.
McCreadie is faster. The track is a bit rough and McCreadie bounces through the ruts in the middle lane off turn two.
Lap 7, McCreadie drives it deep through the middle into turn one. He clears him and takes the lead.
Lap 9, Briggs has a run on the bottom off turn two. He runs even with McCreadie. Side by side for the lead.
Lap 10, spin in turn four and the yellow is out. Briggs was the leader at the line.
Green, Briggs leads Overton. Sheppard takes over 3rd.
Lap 12, Overton remains on the cushion. The bottom still has enough grip that Briggs can put the power down on the bottom. Overton cant get the momentum on him off the top lane.
Sheppard is closing quickly on both of them. And he’s there. In one corner, Sheppard drives by both of them.
He did it on the bottom off turn two as Briggs swung out to the wall off the corner, he left the inside wide open just at Sheppard built up a run. Sheppard leads into turn three.
Lap 18, Zeigler is slow and the caution is out. He pulls alongside Shirley under yellow.
Green, Sheppard is clear by four car lengths off turn two.
Billy Moyer Jr runs side by side with Overton for 2nd. Kyle Bronson kicks it to the cushion and pulls even with both of them. Three wide for 2nd.
Caution for debris.
Heavy winds have rolled into the area. Weather is coming fast.
Tyler Erb heads to the pit area with a right rear issue.
Green, Sheppard leads Moyer Jr. Several cars stack up in turn three and the yellow is out.
McCreadie heads for the pit area. He doesnt exit the pits as we’re going green.
Green, Sheppard leads Moyer Jr. Overton holds 3rd. Richards is coming hard behind them.
Lap 25, Sheppard is clear by a straight away.
Lap 27, Zeigler is slow and the caution is out.
Green, Sheppard leads.
Lap 30, Richards slides Owens for 3rd. He’s already on the bumper of Moyer for 2nd.
Lap 32, Coleby Frye is upside down in turn three. The red flag is out. The driver is ok.
Green, Sheppard leads. Richards takes over 2nd on the launch. He pulls to within a car length of the leader into turn three.
Lap 35, Sheppard opens the gap.
