Multiple NASCAR Cup Series teams have failed inspection multiple times ahead of qualifying.

Chase Elliott and the No. 9 team failed twice. They will see a crew member ejected. He will also lose 15 minutes of practice next week at Auto Club Speedway.

Elliott failed inspection due to body issues. However, the team was able to pass on their third attempt through the inspection garage.

More Toyota issues?

Yesterday, all Toyota teams rolling through pre-weekend inspection ahead of practice. Every Toyota team with the exception of Suarez, failed tech.

All the Joe Gibbs Racing machines in addition to Christopher Bell were caught using bondo to alter the body shape. The were forced to miss 15 minutes of practice yesterday.

There could be more Toyota issues regarding inspection.

The field is now set to lineup based on 2019 points. That would put Kyle Busch on the pole position for Sunday’s event.

However, Kyle Busch himself has hinted that he might be forced to the rear of the field.

Yet, nothing official in regards to Toyota issues have been released by NASCAR. If that happens, this story will be updated.
