A second Kyle Busch bounty has surfaced

A new bounty has been put into place for the NASCAR Truck Series regulars

Last week, Kevin Harvick announced a $50,000 bounty on Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Truck Series. Marcus Lemonis of Gander RV stepped up to double it, making it $100,000.

Currently, Kyle Busch has won seven straight NASCAR Truck Series races that he’s entered. There’s now an extra incentive to beat the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series champion.

However, that bounty above only extends to NASCAR Cup Series regulars.

Rules for the Kyle Busch bounty:

– Drivers must run full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series.

– Winning isn’t required; Drivers just need to finish in front of Kyle Busch.

– Must be done in 2020, in one of the races that Kyle is entered.

– Cannot crash Kyle.

The above is a great incentive. It encourages NASCAR Cup Series drivers to drop down and enter a Truck Series event for a good cause.

Currently, Denny Hamlin, Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson and others have expressed interest.

What about the truck series regulars?

If a NASCAR Truck Series regular wins the race and Kyle Busch finishes 2nd, they will not collect the bounty. Those guys have been left out.

Until now…

A separate bounty has been introduced. Chris Larsen, from Halmar International has announced a $50,000 for the NASCAR Truck Series regulars.

The bounty extends to non-cup drivers. Additionally, they must win the race to collect the bounty.

Halmar International is the primary sponsor of Stewart Friesen in the NASCAR Truck Series.

Rules for Halmar Bounty:

– Drivers must run full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series.

– Winning is required.

– Must be done in 2020, in one of the races that Kyle is entered.

– Kyle Busch must be running at the end of the race.

Halmar Bounty on Kyle Busch and Cup drivers

Stewart Friesen posted the following release:

“Chris Larsen, from Halmar International, is announcing the creation of a $50,000 Halmar Bounty. The Halmar Bounty will be awarded to any NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series regular (non-cup driver) who wins against any NASCAR Cup Series regular in the upcoming 2020 Truck races in which Kyle Busch is competing, and running at the end of the race.”

Chris Larsen released the following statement:

He opened, “We love Kyle. He is a true warrior!”

“But, we have so many talented truck series regular teams, and we know first hand the the level of work they put in. We want to give the drivers and teams, who are the bedrock of the series, a bounty to shoot for.”

Larsen concluded, “We are looking forward to seeing how Stewart Friesen performs behind the wheel of the Halmar International #52 Toyota Tundra during these upcoming races as well. We are confident in our Halmar team!”

Kyle Busch on the bounty

“It’s interesting, exciting, whatever you want to determine it,” Busch said of the bounty.

“I guess cup drivers in the Truck Series, do sell tickets. So, take that for what it’s worth.”

“I think it’s a unique opportunity for more attention on the series. Which is good. Maybe if more drivers, had more teams and had rides then there would be something else there beside just myself.”

“Once Harvick put the idea out there… I was like, “The guy that’s really going to have a shot is going to be Larson at Homestead.”

“Bring it on.”
