ARCA Menards Series East race postponed

Five Flags Speedway event postponed due to health concerns

Today has been a national day of cancellations across the sporting world.

The NBA, NHL and NCAA have all hit the off switch. Postponements of all three have brought their seasons to a halt.

MLB has also pressed the pause button on spring training. They join the wide list of cancellations.

This weekend, the Verizon Indycar Series will head to St. Petersburg, FL. Series officials have announced that the race will be run without spectators.

F1 has the same plans for the Bahrain Grand Prix in a couple weeks. For this week’s F1 event, McLaren F1 has withdrawn their entries after a team member tested positive for Coronavirus.

NASCAR has taken a similar route to Indycar. The next two weeks of stock car racing will be held without grandstand admission.

The events Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway will continue as planned, with limited access. They will be competitor only events.

NASCAR teams have also been handed memos that guests of the teams will not be allowed for the next two weeks.

The ARCA Menard Series East was set to run their second race of the 2020 season. 5 Flags Speedway was set to host the Pensacola 200 presented by Inspectra Thermal Solutions in Pensacola, Florida.

The ARCA Menards Series has just postponed that event….
