iRacing World of Outlaws: LIVE TV Coverage

Double-header World of Outlaws race to be shown LIVE on TV

Tonight, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to the track. Real-world dirt racing stars are set to battle the stars of NASCAR in a virtual landscape.

Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer and Adam Alexander will call the race with dirt announcer Johnny Gibson.

So, you want dirt racing on your television? You’re mad at networks who won’t carry dirt racing while you’re forced to PPV options?

Well, here’s your chance to speak up.

Tonight, the World of Outlaws will be shown live on network television. The same network that carries the digital NASCAR events for an equal comparison.

FS1 will air the double-header iRacing World of Outlaws event from The Dirt Track at Charlotte at 8:00pm ET. This coverage includes the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series as well as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

If the numbers are comparable to the iRacing NASCAR coverage, that gives networks a clear sign to cover dirt racing. So, if you want that to happen, tune in for some digital dirt racing.

“The iRacing simulation platform is undeniably the closest thing to real racing we can deliver to our viewers during this challenging time,” said Brad Zager, FOX Sports Executive Producer, EVP/Head of Production & Operations.

“While the racing may be virtual, the competition and fun are absolutely real, and we’ll use Wednesday nights to explore a variety of virtual racing,” Zager concluded.

“Americans are resilient, dirt track fans more than most, but they are also a proud group,” said Ben Geisler, Chief Marketing Officer for the World of Outlaws.

“I can’t wait to hear them talking about the sport they love this week, while FOX Sports places it on arguably the biggest stage in sports right now. Our drivers are a determined bunch, they have jumped through hoops to find sim gear and they are putting in 10-hour marathon practice sessions to get up to speed. They will put on a great show,” Geisler concluded.
