Scott Bloomquist Racing responds to Clint Bowyer

Clint Bowyer made comments on Bloomquist finishing a lap down; Scott Bloomquist Racing responds with a twist

The real racing world is currently paused. But, the virtual racing world is thriving like never before.

The World of Outlaws joined the program a few weeks ago. Now, they’re Wednesday night show is show LIVE on FS1 featuring dirt late models and dirt sprint cars.

Last night, they dropped the green on network tv at the virtual Knoxville Raceway. NASCAR stars Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Chase Briscoe, Juan Pablo Montoya, Austin Dillon and Bubba Wallace joined in on the field.

Real-world dirt late model driver Corey Gordon drove it to victory lane in the dirt late model feature. Gordon piloted the Chris Madden wrap for Scott Bloomquist Racing.

Scott Bloomquist finished 1 lap down in 17th.

Clint Bowyer on Scott Bloomquist

Clint Bowyer joined the broadcast as a commentator.

Clint Bowyer on Bloomquist: “It’s so weird to see Bloomer a lap down,” Clint Bowyer stated as the broadcast displayed the results. “Two weeks in a row. He’s gotta get better.”

Lat week, Bloomquist finished 18th in the televised iRacing event at the virtual Charlotte Motor Speedway. However, he picked up moderate damage in that one after heavy contact with the wall.

Bowyer’s comment above was a compliment and encouragement at the same time. It wasn’t really a shot at Bloomquist. But, the comment didn’t sit well with Team Zero.

NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer owns a dirt late model team. The team travels with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Starting tomorrow, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will debut their online racing series via iRacing. Series champion Jonathan Davenport made a 17 hour drive to Missouri to pick up a new WR1 sim chassis to be ready for the competition.

Josh Richards pilots Bowyer’s No. 14 dirt late model and is a former LOLMDS champion. The primary sponsorship on the No. 14 is ironically, iRacing.

However, of all the online races we’ve seen in the last few weeks, Josh Richards has been a part in zero of them.

They didn’t react well to the comment from Bowyer.

Scott Bloomquist Racing responds: “Mr Clint Bowyer says Scott Bloomquist needs to get better at iRacing … well atleast we support it and our driver is doing it because it supports our sponsors… you can’t say the same about your team bud #WhereIsJosh #WoOiRacing”
