As the COVID-19 pandemic has the sporting world shut down, NASCAR has turned to a digital world. Each Sunday, drivers run virtual online racing events and fans tune in by the millions.

The races are shown live on network tv. To date, NASCAR has smashed previous records for the most-watched eSports event.
Now, they came close to breaking the record again. The NASCAR Pro Invitational event at Talladega Superspeedway was seen by 300,000 more than the previous week at Richmond.
Alex Bowman survived the carnage and drove to victory lane. Jeff Gordon jumped out of retirement and made on online racing game debut with the series.
