Denny Hamlin vs John Hunter Nemechek at Dover International Speedway (Video)

Hear the reaction as John Hunter Nemechek retaliates on Denny Hamlin

On Sunday, the eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series visited Dover International Speedway. The concrete oval is a 1-mile track in Dover, Deleware.

Watch the Denny Hamlin vs John Hunter Nemechek video below.

This series features real-world NASCAR stars. It’s shown on LIVE tv and a million race fans tune in each week to watch the online race.

The cars might be fake. But, as we’ve seen in the previous weeks, the emotions, competitiveness and skill sets are very real. It was highlighted once again at Dover…

Last week, Hamlin’s daughter walked in with a remote and turned off dad’s tv in the middle of the race. This week, Hamlin circled the house to gather every remote. He then locked them all in a bag and through that bag on the roof, for real.

Lap 58

Lap 58, a bunch of cars stayed out on old tires. Hamlin and Nemechek restarted behind those cars. They worked through a gaggle of cars. Meanwhile, Nemeche was all over the bumper of Hamlin.

“John Hunter, they’re on old tires. Just hang on bud,” Hamlin said over the radio as he was about to get run over.

Lap 69

Lap 69, Denny Hamlin was on the bumper of Dale Earnhardt Jr. At the same time, John Hunter Nemechek was beating on the back bumper of Hamlin.

Nemchek pushed Hamlin into the corner. That pushed Hamlin into Earnhardt.

Hamlin jumped on the radio, “I got the #38 pushing me. Sorry, Dale.”

A caution was dropped moments later. During the caution, Hamlin sent a private chat to Nemechek. It’s unclear what was said.

Lap 122

Lap 122, Hamlin had climbed to 4th. Nemechek ran 3rd and both of them were under a blanket with the race leaders.

Hamlin pulled out of line and looked to the inside of Nemechek into turn three. Nemechek shut the door.

Lap 124, Denny pulled out of line once again, this time off turn four. Nemechek pulled down to block the inside lane.

Hamlin reacted by pushing Nemechek into the corner. There was a bit of netcode there too and Nemechek went around with ease, pounding the outside wall, no caution.

Hamlin audio: “You cannot block down the straightaway. No.”

Lap 135

Lap 135, there’s now just 15 laps to go in the race. Hamlin has Christopher Bell on his bumper. Both of them are running down Hill and Byron for the race win.

Meanwhile, the leaders are quickly approaching John Hunter Nemechek to put his mangled mess a lap down.

Nemechek holds the inside lane into turn three. Byron and Hill roll by on the outside lane as Nemechek lets them go.

Hamlin pulls to the outside to roll by as well. Instead, Nemechek clips the apron (on purpose) then pushes Hamlin wide and into the outside wall off turn four.

Hamlin radio: “Fucking idiot.”

“The dumbass wants to block, when I’m inside. Then, gets mad when he gets wrecked.”

Nemechek was disqualified. Meanwhile, Hamlin came down pit lane to use his only quick reset.

Hamlin crew audio: “I saw John Hunter but — I didn’t think he’d wreck him after all the stuff that’s been going on the last few weeks. Stupid.”

“They tried to kick him too. That’s why he disappeared right when he hit Denny. They knew it was coming.”

Hamlin audio to iRacing officials: “Tyler [Hudson], you think when you see a car just riding around on the bottom waiting — Do you think maybe you can kick him out?”

“Sorry to everybody else who fucking got crashed in that.”

Hamlin restarted the race in 16th with just 9 laps to go. He drove it to a 6th place finish.

After the race…

“It was non eventful, then it was eventful and we made a comeback,” Hamlin stated via a social media video after the race.

“Drove up through the pack. Thought I was definitely a top 2 car.”

“We got to 4th. Got on the bottom of John Hunter. He pulled down because he wanted to run the bottom, where I was at. And we entered the corner at the same time.”

“That unfortunately, ended up bad for him. Then, he just slowed down and crashed us.”

“6th! Wish it was better,” Hamlin concluded.
