North Wilkesboro tv viewers for the eNASCAR Pro Series finale
As NASCAR sat on the sidelines due to the pandemic, drivers turned to digital racing games. Seven races were held, sanction by NASCAR and run on iRacing.

On Saturday, the series hosted the online finale. The track was North Wilkesboro Speedway, a track that also made it’s iRacing debut.
Denny Hamlin drove it victory lane. It was a gnarly short track racing finish as Hamlin put the bump-and-run to Chastain, picking up the win.
The track is a fan favorite among NASCAR’s core fanbase. But, the tv numbers wouldn’t agree.
North Wilkesboro Speedway was the least-watched broadcast of the entire eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series.
It’s worth noting, the race at North Wilkesboro was run on a Saturday afternoon. That’s different from all the other Pro Invitational events, which were run on Sunday afternoon.
The series was an overall success. The series set a record for the most-watched eSports event on April 26th, 2020. Talladega Superspeedway say 1.24 million viewers.
Now, the games are over. NASCAR is set to return to the track, for real this time. Darlington Raceway will host NASCAR’s return on May 17th.
