Kyle Busch was interviewed after losing to Chase Elliott at Charlotte; He was censored (Video)

Busch: “There’s going to be some f****** talking, when I get home.”

Kyle Busch lost last night. It’s his first lost in a truck since a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2018. Since then, Kyle Busch went three years in the series without a loss, 7 straight races. That streak came to an end on Tuesday.

Watch the Kyle Busch interview below.

After the Charlotte truck event, tv showed Busch noticeably frustrated as he put his helmet in the bag. The coverage then showed him walking away and heading home. That made it appear that Busch declined a post-race interview. But he did one, it just wasn’t shown.

Kyle Busch lost to Chase Elliott in the NASCAR Truck Series on Tuesday night. As you might imagine, Kyle Busch was pissed.

Broken truck

On one hand, he has a good reason to be pissed, this time. The NASCAR Truck Series has sat idle since February, Charlotte was the first race back since a series of postponements.

That’s three months that the team had to dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s. And beyond that, this comes after an off-season, adding another 3 months were the team sat in the shop.

Yet, the team brought a broken truck to the race track.

In stage one, the right front was wrong on Kyle Busch’s truck. First it was dragging the ground. The crew made an adjustment but then it was too high. That’s actually because a piece in the right front suspension was broken.

After Kyle Busch climbed to 6th in stage one. He was forced to make an extended stop on the pit lane as the crew repaired it. On Lap 37, Kyle Busch was forced to drive through the field yet again.

At the end of the race, Chase Elliott took over the lead. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch was on an off-cycle pitting strategy (because the field did the opposite of what he did).

In the final 10 laps, Kyle Busch was in pursuit of Chase Elliott. But, he couldn’t get there. Elliott took the win in his GMS Racing machine.

Chase Elliott collects $100,000 Kyle Busch bounty

Chase Elliott hadn’t run a NASCAR Truck Series event since 2017. He won at Martinsville in 2017 and hasn’t been back until last night. The 24-year-old elected to run the event to chase a bounty.

Kevin Harvick put up $50,000 to any NASCAR Cup Series regular who entered a truck race and beat Kyle Busch. The CEO of Gander Outdoors stepped in to double it with another $50,000.

Elliott took the win and the $100,000 Kyle Busch bounty to go with it. After taking the checkered flag, Chase Elliott grabbed the flag and took a bow (the trademark of a Kyle Busch victory).

“I knew it would be tough to come in and try to beat Kyle. He still does it, more than most. It was fun to learn as we went and I enjoyed it a lot,” Chase Elliott stated via the post-race teleconference.

As for the bow…

“It was a spur of the moment thing,” Chase Elliott added.

“I thought, we’ve had so much fun with this with Kevin and putting up the money. Kyle was a good sport about it, I hope.”

“Just having fun. It’s not a dig at anybody. It was about beating him and we did it. So, why not have some fun with it,” Elliott concluded.

Kyle Busch interview

Kyle Busch is a 57-time winner in the NASCAR Truck Series. With 152 starts, that’s a 37% win percentage. And he’s not happy with any other result.

“Just got tight,” Kyle Busch told Fox Sports of his truck at the end of the event.

“Um, it sucks when you start the race with broken pieces. After sitting for 6 months. So, there’s going to be some f****** talking, when I get home.”

“That’s not acceptable.”

Kyle Busch is referring to his own team. He is the owner/driver at Kyle Busch Motorsports.

“We got beat. It only took one wonder. One time, that’s all it takes. Got beat.”

“And, don’t have any charity money for Samantha’s and I’s charity. For the bundle of Joy fund and being able to get more babies out there. But, bigger problems in the world, right?”

After the race, Kyle Busch found out that he interview wasn’t shown.

“I did an interview. Wasn’t aired. That is all,” Kyle Busch said via twitter.
