NASCAR Xfinity Series results from Talladega Superspeedway

The NASCAR Xfinity Series has unloaded in Talladega, Alabama. The Unhinged 300 will complete the day of racing at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 25 (1-25 / 113)

Green flag, Hailey gets the jump on the inside with a push from Ryan Sieg. The outside lane dissipates in a hurry.

Lap 3, Noah Gragson leads a charge on the outside lane. Sieg cuts a tire behind Haley and makes light contact with the wall, no caution.

Haley is now way out in front, the field has a run. Haley moves high to block the run from Gragson. Michael Annett leads the inside lane and pulls even with Haley. Annett to the lead.

Lap 11, the caution is out.

Green, Annett and Haley run side by side for the lead. As they trade side drafts, Chastain sticks his nose in under them. Haley holds them all off on the outside.

2 to go in stage one, Haley is out front and blocking charges from both lanes.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 25 (26-50 / 113)

Justin Allgaier and Harrison Burton stay out. A few take no tires. Haley restarts 5th.

Green flag on stage two, Burton and Allagier are even into turn one and off turn two. Allgaier wins the battle.

Lap 32, Alfredo shoves Chastain to the lead. Chastain looks to block both lanes but they both have a run at once. Alfredo works even and clear. Alfredo leads on the inside.

Lap 38, Briscoe has a run on the bottom. Alfredo doesn’t block Briscoe is clear. Briscoe pulls to the top and he now leads the train on the outside as the top 10 run single file.

5 to go, they drop to the bottom. Briscoe still leads as they form three wide behind him.

Final lap in stage two, Briscoe is blocking charges from both lanes. He weaves from the top to the bottom off turn four.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 63 (51-113 / 113)

Green flag on stage three, Cindric leads with a push from Chastain on the inside.

Lap 59, Noah Gragson leads the train on the outside with a push from his teammate of Annett. Gragson to the lead.

Lap 76, car in the wall off turn two with a flat right front, no caution.

Lap 77, Riley Herbst gets turned through the tri-oval. Brett Moffitt lost the nose underneath him and the car stopped turning. He went up the bankin and into the left rear of Herbst. Many cars are collected.

Green, Gragson and Chastain run side by side for the lead. Chastain noses ahead and he now leads the train on the outside lane.

25 to go

25 to go, the entire file runs single file around the outside lane, a foot off the outside wall. Ross Chastain is pulling the train.

18 to go, massive crash! Kody Vanderwal got into the back of Jeffrey Earnhardt in turn three. Harrison Burton got into the back of Vanderwal as he checked up. Burton went down the banking then back up into Josh Williams. Heavy impact for many, it appears all are ok.

Green, Allmendinger stacks up the inside with the plan of letting his teammate pull to the bottom. The plan is foiled as Jeb Burton takes them 3 wide on the inside. Allmendinger drops like a rock through the middle. Chastain holds the lead on the top.

12 to go, Cindric has a run on the bottom. He clears Chastain, pulls up and now Chastain leads to the outside lane.

9 to go, Jeb Burton has a run on the bottom. Cindric doesn’t attempt to throw a block. Burton leads.

Big crash at Talladega

Big crash behind them! Chastain blocks a run from Gragson. As Gragson checks up slightly, Justin Allgaier gets into the bumper of Gragson as Gragson is turned through the tri-oval.

Multiple cars are collected as they spin across the start/finish. However, Noah Gragson has zero damage.

Green, Chastain gives a huge shove to Haley on the outside lane. Burton fights back on the inside with a push from Cindric. Haley sidedrafts hard but he’s on his own.

2 to go, Burton leads on the bottom.

Final lap, Haley pulls to the right side of Burton, they run even into turn one for the final time.

They remain even off turn two. Burton sidedrafts to pull Haley back but Chastain gives Haley a push into turn three.

Three wide for 2nd at the line. Haley now leads by 5 car lengths.
