NASCAR results from Talladega Superspeedway
Morning afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series is set for the green flag at Talladega Superspeedway. It’s the GEICO 500 in Alabama.

It’s impossible to ignore the events of last night. Someone entered a closed garage area to hang a noose over the No. 43 car of Bubba Wallace. An FBI Investigation is underway with those officials at the track, currently.
During the National Anthem, all the drivers pushed the car of Bubba Wallace to the front of the grid. They then stood around the car with every crew member, from every time, directly behind them.

We’re set for 188 laps of stock car racing. Martin Truex Jr and Denny Hamlin set the front row.
Talladega Race
Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 60 (1-60 / 188)
Green flag, Hamlin purposely delays his start to let teammate Martin Truex Jr drop to the bottom. Truex leads into turn one with Hamlin on his bumper.
Lap 5, Jimmie Johnson and Harvick nearly crash. As they check up, the middle lane dissipates. Hamlin moves to the lead on the inside with a push from Kyle Busch.
Lap 8, the outside lane is coming. Hamlin blocks that run and drops back to the bottom. They form around the top once more, this time, Logano is pushed to the lead on the outside.
Just ahead of the competition caution, Hamlin and Logano trade side drafts for the race lead.
Competition caution
Lap 26, Logano leads with a push from Keselowski. The competition caution is out.
Green, Logano leads on the outside with a push from Blaney and Keselowski.
Lap 30, Stenhouse is pulled to the lead by Cole Custer. He pulls up to block a run from Logano but he gets loose and misses the block. Stenhouse is shuffled out of line and drops outside the top 20. Logano back to the lead.
Lap 34, Hamlin to the lead with a push from Kyle Busch. They fade as Kyle Busch moves to lead the outside lane, Busch to the lead.
Lap 42, Hamlin leads with a push.
15 to go in stage one, Hamlin and Logano trade side drafts for the lead. Ominous clouds circle over the speedway.
Hamlin gets shuffled to the middle. Logano leads on the inside.
6 to go in stage one, Hamlin has a flat right side tire! Hamlin hits the pits under green. At the front, Tyler Reddick moves to the lead.
5 to go, the caution is out due to rain. Red flag.
After a delay, the field is rolling again. Tyler Reddick wins stage 1 under caution.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 60 (61-120 / 188)
Grren flag on stage two, Alex Bowman leads off turn two with a push from Kyle Busch.
Lap 67, the middle lane fades as they run three deep. Kyle Busch drops from the top to the bottom and leads.
Lap 73, Team Penske has locked bumper and they have a run. Logano pushes Blaney to the lead.
Lap 92, the top 5 run single file around the bottom. Bubba Wallace leads a charge through the middle with Kyle Busch on his bumper.
Lap 95, the caution is out as Nemechek spins through the infield grass with a flat tire.
Green, Blaney leads on the bottom with a push on the bottom from Keselowski, Logano and DiBenedetto. Team Penske lines up 1-4 on the inside.
Lap 106
Lap 106, Kyle Busch is all over the bumper of Stenhouse Jr through the middle. He pushes him even with Ryan Blaney. Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace has a push from Kevin Harvick and they’re coming quick from lane 3! Lane three stalls after side drafts.
9 to go in stage one, Stenhouse works ahead of the inside lane with a push from Kyle Busch. A side draft and the inside completely stalls. Stenhouse drops to the bottom and leads with Kyle Busch on his bumper.
8 to go, Keselowski gets Blaney completely sideways off turn four as they jump out of line to go around Stenhouse. Blaney never lifts! Blaney to the lead in turn one!
6 to go in stage two, the caution is out for debris.
Green, Keselowski slams the bumper of Blaney into turn one. They run even with Stenhouse and Kyle Busch on the outside.
Final lap in stage two, Byron has a huge run in lane three. Blaney blocks that run.
Stenhouse has a run out of the tri-oval with a push from Kyle Busch. Stenhouse Jr wins stage two by inches at Talladega Superspeedway!

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 68 (121-188 / 188)
A mixed bag of strategy on the pit lane has placed Buescher and Hamlin on the front row. Stenhouse restarts outside the top 10.
Green flag on stage three, Buescher leads on the bottom. Buescher attempts to block both lanes but he gets shuffled to the middle. Kevin Harvick leads on the inside. Chase Elliott clears them all on the outside lane.
60 to go, Keselowski is locked onto the rear bumper of Blaney on the outside. Blaney returns to the lead.
55 to go, Chase Elliott is around down the back stretch. Logano blocked a run, as Elliott slowed, he got turned by Keselowski.
Green, Blaney leads with a push from Logano and Keselowski.
47 to go, Brennan Poole has spun down the banking and the caution is out.
Mixed strategy
Some stay out, some take tires and some return to top off as fuel is close from here to the finish.
Green, Kevin Harvick leads as Christopher Bell forces Erik Jones below the yellow lane and stacks up the inside lane.
Penalty: NASCAR has penalized Bell for forcing Jones below the line.
Logano to the lead.
40 to go, Kyle Busch is slow with a flat tire.
Byron to the lead. The top five run single file around the bottom. Stenhouse Jr makes is four wide just behind that.
28 to go
28 to go, Hamlin gets a push to the lead. Meanwhile, Byron gets loose off the bumper of Logano. Wallace splits both lanes as they check out. The Np. 43 leads on the inside with a push from Logano.
Wallace gets pushed way out front with no help. Logano has a run, he pulls to his outside and Logano takes over the lead.
25 to go, Bowman to the lead with a push from Reddick.
16 to go, Bowman pulls up to block a run on the outside. Hamlin is glued to the bumper of Reddick at the same time. Reddick to the lead on the bottom.
13 to go, many are short on fuel but others can make it. Half the field is praying for a caution.
6 to go, Blaney is leading a charge from lane three. The middle lane stalls.
4 to go, Stenhouse Jr is on the bumper of Blaney on the outside, Blaney to the lead.
3 to go, Johnson has a run on Blaney. Harvick looks to the inside of Johnson with Stenhouse to his inside. Johnson attempts to block but Harvick is already there. Johnson is around into turn one and the caution is out.
NASCAR Overtime
Green, the inside lane stalls as Blaney has no help. Harvick leads on the outside lane.
Final lap, Buescher is on the bumper of Harvick on the inside lane. Blaney pulls out of line down the back. He works inside of Harvick into turn three.
Blaney leads off turn four. Erik Jones has a run through the tri-oval. Blaney throws a block! Jones moves to the outside and Blaney stuffs him in the wall.
Ryan Blaney wins by inches!
