Talladega Superspeedway tv viewership for Monday’s thriller
NASCAR was scheduled to drop the green flag on Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway. The race in Alabama was instead postponed to Monday, due to rain.

Despite the rain, 3.36 million still tuned in on average to see the thriller of a finish. Ryan Blaney banged fenders with Erik Jones at the finish line, Blaney took the win.

The numbers make it the most-watched Monday race since 2014 at Daytona.
Ahead of the race, NASCAR brought in the FBI to inspect the garage area of Bubba Wallace for an apparent noose. Following that investigation, it was apparently just a garage pull rope that had been in place since at least October 2019.

The race last April saw 4.52 million viewers. The fall Talladega race was postponed in 2019 and was seen by 1.54 million on NBCSN.
