NASCAR Xfinity Series starting grid for Indianapolis Motor Speedway
It’s a double-header race weekend with NASCAR and INDYCAR. Later today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will take to the 2.4-mile road course.

This is the newest track on the NASCAR schedule. The NASCAR Xfinity Series will be the first to give the 14-turn road course a shot.
Jeb Burton will start on the pole position in his first ever NXS road course start. Michael Annett will complete the front row.
How they set the Xfinity lineup for Indianapolis
The NASCAR Xfinity Series has no qualifying session on deck at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Instead, they’ll drop the green flag in the race and see turn one for the first time.
The starting lineup has been set via a random draw.
1-12 in owner points are in their own group of random draw. They set the front 12 positions in the race, based on the number drawn.
13-24 in owner points draw for positions 13-24 on the grid.
25-36 in owner points draw for positions 25-36 on the grid.
37-40 positions are set based on their standings order (no draw).
