The crash was caused bu a chain reaction. One driver nearly missed his pit stall. He stomped the brakes and turned into his stall.

One driver hit another. Several more then plowed into the car ahead. 10 cars back, the accordion effect took place and resulted in a spin.

The No. 37 of Ryan Preece was the first car to get turned around. With the narrow pit lane, this left nowhere for anyone to go.

Corey LaJoie was also turned. The entire pit lane was now blocked as cars scrambled to stop and attempt to avoid it.

Ryan Blaney, Brennan Poole, Ryan Preece, Corey LaJoie and Martin Truex Jr are just some of the cars involved.

Brennan Poole attempted to work around it. To the left of the accident, Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney was already in his pit stall and the crew was at work to change four tires.

The jackman jumped in the air, with the jack to avoid being stuck. Another wasn’t as lucky.

Poole pinched Zach Price, Blaney’s tire changer between the left front of Poole and the right rear of Blaney.

The crew member was sent to the ground. He then got up under his own power and hopped toward the inside pit wall.

On tv, it might appear that cars coast to their pit stall. But, pit road speed is actually 55 mph, highway speed.

The race was red flagged. NASCAR quickly dispersed the safety team. The crew member was placed on a stretcher and carried into the ambulance.

He gave a thumbs up, with a smile as he was placed in the ambulance.

Following evaluation at the infield care center, the crew member was transported to a local hospital.
