Bubba Wallace responds to HATE from Donald Trump

NASCAR driver takes the LOVE approach as he responds to HATE from the POTUS with noose comment

Several weeks ago, a noose was discovered in the garage stall of Bubba Wallace. This happened at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

The team alerted NASCAR. The series then alerted the FBI. An investigation into a possible “hate crime” was launched.

Weeks prior, Bubba Wallace called for NASCAR to ban the Confederate flag. Days later, the sport boldly banned the flag from all event and properties.

The rope was discovered the day after a noose was found hanging from a tree on the property of Sonoma Raceway in California. It also came the day after a plane flew over Talladega Superspeedway with a large Confederate flag a the “Defund NASCAR” message.

Ahead of the race, the No. 43 of Bubba Wallace was pushed to the front of the pit lane. Every driver stood behind the No. 43 as a show of support.

The following day, the FBI investigation came to a close. It was discovered the noose was in place since at least October 2019. Thus, it wasn’t targeted at Bubba Wallace.

Several weeks later, Donald Trump commented on the noose incident. The tweet was sent just a day after the sport raced at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during July 4 weekend.

He called the Bubba Wallace rope incident a “hoax” in a tweet. He noted, “That & Flag decision has caused lowest ratings EVER!”

The ratings from Indianapolis were released just a few hours later. The race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway saw about 1.4 million more viewers than the same race in 2019.

White House responds to Donald Trump’s NASCAR comments (or something like that)

The White House was asked to clarify comments that condemned the ban of the Confederate flag.

“He has not given an opinion one way or the other on that,” she said. “I just spoke to him this morning,” Kayleigh McEnany stated from the White House.

“The President’s intent was to say no, most American people are good, hardworking people, and we should not have this rush to judgment knee-jerk reaction before the facts come out,” McEnany said in a response to a question about the flag.

South Carolina Senator comments

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina also commented following the tweet from the President.

“They’re trying to grow the sport,” Graham said, referring to the decision to ban flags from NASCAR events. “And I’ve lived in South Carolina all my life and if you’re in business, the Confederate flag is not a good way to grow your business.”

“What the President is making is a broader point that this rush to judgment on the facts before the facts are out is not acceptable. And we saw it with the Covington kids and we saw with Jussie Smollett, and now we saw it in the case before the FBI came to that conclusion,” she also told Fox News.

She added, “The President’s merely pointing out that we’ve gotta let facts come out before we rush to judgment.”

Bubba Wallace responds to comments from Donald Trump

Later on Monday, Bubba Wallace addressed comments from Donald Trump. The note was addressed to the, “Next generation of little ones following his foot steps.”

Bubba Wallace tweeted, “You words and actions will always be held to a higher standard than others.”

“You have to be prepared for that and you don’t learn these things in school. You learn them from trials and tribulations, the ups and downs this crazy world provides.”

He added, “You will always have people testing you. Seeing if they can knock you off your pedestal. I encourage you to keep your head held high and walk proudly on the path you have chosen.”

“Never let anybody tell you can’t do something! God put us all here for a reason. Find that reason and be proud of it and work your tails off every day towards it.”

“All the haters are doing is elevating your voice and platform to much greater heights!”

“Last thing, always deal with the hate being thrown at you with LOVE! Love over hate every day. Love should come naturally as people are TAUGHT to hate.”

“Even when it’s HATE from the POTUS…”

“Love wins,” Wallace concluded in his letter.
