NASCAR Xfinity results from Kentucky Speedway
Tonight, it’s the first of two NASCAR Xfinity Series events at Kentucky Speedway this weekend. First up, it’s the Shady Rays 200.

Trouble for Anthony Alfredo ahead of the green, his steering shaft has just become disconnected on the pit lane!

Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 30 (1-30 / 134)
Green flag, Gragson leads into turn one. Jeb Burton is around in turn one! He collects Brandon Jones and both cars have heavy damage.
Green, Gragson and Chastain run side by side off turn two. Gragson side drafts him and pulls him back before they dive into turn three, Gragson leads.
Lap 13, Cindric has climbed to the rear bumper of Gragson for the race lead. Gragson moves up a lane in defense. Gragson is running right on the edge of the traction compound, which is excluded from the inside lane.
Lap 16, the competition caution is out.
Green, Gragson leads on the outside off turn two.
Lap 24, Cindric works to the inside of Gragson off turn two. He drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. Cindric clears him but he can’t hold it on the bottom. Cindric washes up the banking and Gragson crosses right back under him and retakes the lead.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 30 (31-60 / 134)
Chase Briscoe stays out as he pitted during the competition caution.
Pit penalty: Harrison Burton has been hit with an uncontrolled tire penalty.
Green flag on stage two, Gragson leads on the inside line.
The track is currently one groove, right along the inside edge of the PJ1 traction compound. The inside lane features no traction compound and the drivers are avoiding it. Lanes 3-4 also have PJ1 applied but it’s not active and those lanes are too slick.
Gragson cruises to the win in stage two!

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 74 (61-134 / 134)
Green flag on stage three, Gragson leads on the outside into turn one. Cindric follows him through as he takes 2nd.
46 to go, Brandon Brown is around in turn four and the caution is out. Haley got loose under him, walked it up the banking and clipped Brown in the left rear.
Pit stops
Gragson leads the field to the pit lane. Haley wins the race to the pit exit with two tires. Clements also takes 2.
Green, Haley leads on the outside lane into turn one. Clements falls all the way to 4th on the inside lane off turn two.
Cindric enters a lane higher into turn three. He crosses under Haley off turn four and Cindric leads back into turn one.
32 to go, Ross Chastain slides Brett Moffitt. He doors Moffitt and they both slide up and tangle with the wall. Both drivers continue but the caution is out.
Green, Haley clears Cindric on the bottom into turn one. Cindric crosses under him and leads into turn three. Haley attempts to slam the door on Chase Briscoe but he catches the bumper. Haley skates up the track and Briscoe moves to 2nd.
15 to go
15 to go, Austin Cindric leads Chase Briscoe by 1.9 seconds.
14 to go, Colby Howard is around and the caution is out! He made contact with Alfredo just ahead of the accident.
Green, Briscoe and Cindric run even into turn one. Briscoe drives it deep to the bottom and nearly clears him. Cindric hangs onto his right rear and wins the race off turn two with outside momentum.
4 to go, Harrison Burton is around after contact with Michael Annett and the caution is out.
Green, Briscoe gets loose on the bottom into turn one and Cindric is driving away.
Austin Cindric wins at Kentucky Speedway!
Big crash behind the finish. Justin Allgaier and others are involved. Allgaier will be transported to a local hospital.
