ARCA results from Kentucky Speedway
Today, the ARCA Menards Series takes the green flag at Kentucky Speedway. It’s race number three on the weekend at the 1.5-mile track in Sparka, KY.

The field has been set by owner points. Michael Self and Ryan Repko lineup on the front row for the event.
Sam Mayer will start 15th but he was quickest in the one and only practice session this morning.
Green flag, Self is clear well before turn one. Ryan Repko tucks in under his bumper off turn two.
Repko gets loose into turn three. Ty Gibbs moves to 2nd as Repko chases it up the banking.
Lap 10, Self leads Gibbs by 2 seconds. Sam Mayer started 15th, he’s climbed to 7th and on his way to the front.
Lap 17, Scott Melton has tagged the wall and the caution is out.
Green, Self is once again clear before turn one. Ty Gibbs tucks right under his rear bumper into turn one.
Lap 24, Self gets loose off turn two. Gibbs has a run but he lifts. Gibbs remains on the bumper of Self into turn three. Self gets loose in turn four. As Self lifts to collect it, Gibbs drives right by on the inside. No contact but Gibbs packed air on his left rear.
Lap 30, Gibbs leads Bret Holmes by 1 second.

Lap 31, the competition caution is out.
Green, Gibbs and Holmes run even into turn one. They fight for space into turn three and Gibbs wins the battle.
Lap 37, Deegan gets loose while Self and Mayer drive by on the inside. Mayer has now climbed from 15th to 4th on a track that’s near impossible to pass.
Lap 57, Self has climbed to the rear bumper of Gibbs for the race lead. Self made large adjustments during the competition caution, it’s working. Meanwhile, Gibbs is notably loose.

Lap 62, the competition caution is out.
Green, Gibbs and Self run even into turn one and off turn two. They remain even into turn three. Self gets loose on the bottom as Gibbs hangs on his right side door, Self chases it up the hill and clips Gibbs in the right rear.
As they both chase it up the hill, Gibbs is dead sideways but saves it. Holmes drives by on the bottom and to the race lead. Gibbs falls all the way to 6th. Gibbs puts the bumper to Self, payback. Self loses several more positions.
31 to go, the caution is out as Thad Moffitt makes contact with the outside wall. He got loose, the backend came around and he backed it into the fence.
25 to go
Green flag, Sam Mayer gets the jump with a push from Deegan and he’s clear before turn one. Holmes crosses under him to fight for the lead into turn one.
Penalty: Sam Mayer has been penalized for jumping the restart.
Deegan pinches Dollar off turn two with a block. Dollar hangs onto her right rear down the backstretch. Haley is turned down the backstretch and the caution is out!
Green, Gibbs spins the tires on the inside, Holmes leads them into turn one.
Holmes bobbles and Gibbs works to his inside. They fight for space back into turn one. Both drivers want the groove with PJ1. They crowd each other. Light door to door contact and Holmes is sent up the banking. Gibbs returns to the lead.
5 to go, Gibbs leads Holmes by 1 second. Mayer was penalized just a few laps ago but he’s already climbed to 4th, he just needs a caution.
