Today, the race weekend comes to a close at Kentucky Speedway. The 1.5-mile oval is set to host the NASCAR Cup Series.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 80 (1-80 / 267)

Green flag, they run even into turn one and off turn two. Almirola gives a push to the bumper of Busch down the backstretch and Busch leads into turn three.

Lap 8, Aric Almirola is on the bumper of Kyle Busch for the lead. He has a look to the inside in turn one but can’t complete the pass. The inside lane has struggled all weekend.

Lap 10, Almirola dives to the bottom once more in turn one. He sidedrafts Busch down the backstretch. Almirola drives it deep into turn three and completes the pass for the lead, new leader!

Lap 25, Martin Truex Jr started from the tail of the field after failing inspection twice. He’s just cracked the top 20.

Lap 26, the competition caution is out.

Green, Almirola and Logano race into turn one. Almirola wins the battle on the outside lane. Chase Elliott drives by Logano to take 2nd as Logano struggles on the bottom lane.

Lap 50, Ryan Blaney has issues. The car just jumped out of 4th gear. He’s now driving one handed as he holds the gearshift and forces it to stay in 4th.

Lap 55, Martin Truex Jr continues his climb from the tail of the field. He’s now up to 10th.

Aric Almirola cruises to the win in stage 1 at Kentucky Speedway! He wins the stage by 4 seconds over Chase Elliott.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 80 (81-160 / 267)

Green flag on stage two, Almirola and Logano run even into turn one. They remain even into turn three. Logano gets loose on the bottom, wiggles and Almirola holds the lead as he drives by on the outside.

Lap 120, Aric Almirola leads Joey Logano by 2.8 seconds.

Lap 138, Ryan Blaney has run down Aric Almirola as Almirola fights with the lap car of John Hunter Nemechek. Blaney closed in a hurry.

Almirola dives to the bottom of Nemechek in turn three. Blaney rolls the middle, Nemechek gets loose and chases it up the hill which hands the preferred groove to Blaney. New leader, Blaney drives right by Almirola on the outside.

Pit cycle

12 to go in stage two, green flag pit stops are underway. Slow stop for Chase Elliott as they struggle to get the right side tires off.

7 to go in stage 2, Keselowski hits the pit lane.

6 to go in stage 2, Matt Kenseth is around with a flat tire and the caution is out.

Keselowski was on the pit lane as the caution came out. He changed 4 tires then left his stall. His stall is just ahead of the start finish line. When Keselowski crossed the line on pit road, after his stop, he was still the race leader.

Without leaving the pits, the field is still frozen regardless based on the last scoring loop. Keselowski got the break of a lifetime and has been handed the lead.

It will be a single lap shootout to the end of stage two.

Green, Keselowski leads Blaney into turn one. Blaney dives to the bottom in turn three. They run side by side to the line.

Green flag on stage three, Blaney and Keselowski run even into turn one. Kesleowski noses ahead with a push from Martin Truex Jr down the backstretch.

Kyle Busch gets loose off turn four. The car jumps completely sideways. He brushes the outside wall with the right rear that straightens it back out, no caution.

87 to go, Truex Jr is on the bumper of Keselowski for the race lead. He has a run off turn four. He sidedrafts him at the start finish line and pulls him back. Truex drives hard to the bottom in turn one and he’s clear. From the back to the front, Truex Jr leads.

59 to go, Jimmie Johnson has a vibration and he pits from the 4th position.

50 to go, Keslowski leads Keselwoski by 2.6 seconds.

48 to go, Martin Truex Jr to the pits. Blaney follows from 3rd.

44 to go, Keslowski pits from the lead.

39 to go, Brennan Poole has blown a tire. The caution is out for debris. Dillon spins as he aborts his trip to the pit lane at the last second.

11 cars are on the lead lap at the time of the caution.

Cars yet to pit: Byron, Harvick, McDowell, Bell, Dillon, Kyle Busch.

All those drivers hit the pits. Truex Jr cycles back to the lead.

Green, Truex Jr and Blaney run side by side into turn one and off turn two. Johnson takes Bell and Byron 3 wide for 6th. Truex Jr clears Blaney.

24 to go, John Hunter Nemechek is in the wall and the caution is out.

Kyle Busch, Aric Almirola, Alex Bowman and others pit. Most stay out.

Green, Truex and Blaney run even at the line. Jimmie Johnson throws a block on Keselowski and Johnson is around through the infield.

Ryan Blaney has been declared the leader at the time of the caution!

Green, Blaney and Truex run even into turn one. Harvick has a run on the inside with a push from Keselowski and he makes it three wide for the lead into turn one!

Harvick clears them all! Truex Jr gets loose in the dirty air of Harvick but he holds 2nd.

8 to go

8 to go, Harvick leads Truex by a car length. They break away from the field.

7 to go, Truex Jr has a run off turn four. He dives to the bottom in turn one and nearly clears Harvick but Harvick hangs onto his right rear. Harvick retakes the lead.

6 to go, the caution is out. Ryan Newman turned Matt Kenseth.

Green, Truex and Harvick run side by side into turn one. Custer has a run on Truex, Truex blocks.

Truex works to the outside of Harvick in turn three! Harvick runs him wide and side drafts Truex Jr off turn four. As Truex is pulled back, Custer has a run on the outside. Ryan Blaney dives to the inside of all three.

White flag, they run four wide at the line! Blaney and Harvick bang doors into turn one. Custer pops out with the lead.

Cole Custer leads off turn two! Harvick has a major tire rub.
