Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 80 (1-80 / 267)

Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick - NASCAR Cup Series at Kansas Speedway

Green, Harvick and Logano run even into turn one. Logano noses ahead on the outside off turn two.

Lap 10, Ryan Blaney is challenging Logano for the lead. He searches around the track for a new line and clean air.

Lap 26, the competition caution is out.

The field heads to the pit lane. Martin Truex Jr wins the race to the pit exit.

Pit Penalty: Uncontrolled tire for Joey Logano and he’ll go to the back.

Green, Kyle Busch drives deep to the inside in turn one. He clears them all and leads off turn two.

Lap 60, Ricky Stenhouse Jr has major issues as a fire has broken out inside the cockpit of the car. He pulls down the pit road under green and pulls off the steering wheel.

Kyle Busch takes the win in stage one at Kansas Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 80 (81-160 / 267)

The field heads to the pit lane. Denny Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit.

Green flag on the stage two, Blaney pushes Hamlin on the outside into turn one. Hamlin leads off turn two.

Lap 97, Martin Truex Jr is on the left rear of Hamlin off turn four. He sidedrafts him, pulls him back and cuts to the bottom as they cross the tri-oval. Truex drives it deep into turn one, clears him and takes the lead.

Lap 101, Bubba Wallace spins off turn four and the caution is out.

Pit stops

The field returns to the pit lane. Keselowski is off first as the only car to take just two tires.

Green, Keselwoski gets the jump and he’s clear before turn one. As he dives to the botto, Truex Jr moves to the top and he gets to his right rear off turn two. Keselowski and Truex remain side by side back into turn one.

Laps later, Keselowski and Truex rub doors and Keselowski clears him.

Lap 115, Truex Jr sidedrafts Keselowski off turn four. He cuts to the bottom through the tri-oval and drives it deep into turn one. He clears Keselowski and in dirty air the No. 2 gets loose behind him.

Lap 143, Chris Buescher is around on his own and the caution is out!

Pit stops

Blaney wins the race off pit road with two tires. Four others also take two. Hamlin restarts 5th, the first car with four fresh tires.

Green, Blaney and Johnson run even into turn one. Hamlin gets to the bumper of Blaney off turn two! Blaney is pushed to the lead as they head into turn three.

5 to go in stage two, Keselowski is all over the bumper of Blaney for the stage win.

2 to go in stage two, Keselowski dives to the bottom. He sidedrafts Blaney off turn two. Keselowski slides him in turn three and Keselowski takes the lead.

Brad Keselowski wins stage two at Kansas Speedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 107 (161-267 / 267)

The field returns to the pit lane.

Green flag on stage three, Hamlin and Elliott run even into turn one.

Lap 170, Matt Kenseth spins off turn four with help from Ryan Preece. As he slides across the track, he collects Bubba Wallace and the caution is out.

Green, Kyle Busch pushes Hamlin into turn one. Big crash behind them! DiBenedetto, Johnson, Logano and others are involved. The caution is out.

Logano broke in front of the field. As he bounced off the wall, the field scattered to miss him.

Green, Hamlin leads. Another huge crash behind them! Ryan Preece, Christopher Bell and more are hooked toward the infield wall. Preece is nearly upside down as he bounces off the wall! Heavy impact for Ryan Preece.

The caution is out. Preece climbs from the car. Bell cleared himself on Ryan Newman and got spun in the process.

Green, Hamlin leads with a push from Martin Truex Jr.

75 to go, Martin Truex Jr has a run on Hamlin into turn one. He dives to the bottom, side drafts him on exit and takes the lead into turn three.

73 to go, Newman is slow with a flat tire and the caution is out.

Pit stops

Most the field heads to the pit lane. Two tire call for many, Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit.

Green, Hamlin and Byron run even. Byron has help on his bumper. Byron clears him on the outside!

63 to go, Keelowski is rolling the top in turn three. He has momentum off the corner, he crosses under Byron off turn four and Keselowski takes the lead at the line.

50 to go, Byron is all over Keselowski for the race lead.

47 to go, Keselowski gets loose on his own off turn four. Byron drives right by on the bottom.

33 to go, Corey LaJoie is up in smoke and the caution is out.

The field heads to the pit lane. Byron and Bowman take two tires. Hamlin is off pit lane 3rd with four tires.

Green, Byron and Bowman run even into turn one as they run three wide behind them.

Bowman wins the battle on the inside lane. Truex and Hamlin rubs doors behind them.

26 to go

26 to go, the caution is back out as John Hunter Nemechek spins.

Green, Harvick gives a huge push to Bowman on the inside. Harvick jumps to his outside off turn two as Hamlin rolls by Bowman on the bottom. They run three wide for the lead, Kevin Harvick pops out with the lead.

15 to go, Hamlin has run down Kevin Harvick for the lead.

13 to go, Hamlin works to his right rear. Hamlin drives right by on the outside.

5 to go, Hamlin leads Keselowski by 0.5 seconds.
