PJ1 has been applied to the racing surface. They’ve added it to the inside lane and third lane on the outside. The middle and preferred groove has been left alone.

Aric Almirola and Denny Hamlin set the front row. 301 laps of stock car racing are up next…

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 75 (1-75 / 301)

Green flag, Almirola gets the jump. Hamlin falls to 4th as he struggles to get the jump on the inside.

Lap 3, Keselowski is on the bumper of Almirola and looking for the lead in turn three. He clears him off turn four and takes the top spot.

Lap 12, Trouble for Kyle Busch! He brushes the wall off turn two. As he heads into turn three, he slams the outside wall with a flat tire.

Pit Penalty: Erik Jones is serving a hold penalty as they come to the green. He’ll go a lap down for pitting outside of his box.

Green, Keselowski leads as Logano and Almirola battle for 2nd. Logano wins that battle on the outside lane.

Lap 31, the competition caution is out.

Green, Keslowski gets a huge shove from Blaney into turn one. Hamlin and Blaney nearly touch as they fight for 2nd.

Lap 38

Lap 38, Hamlin has a run on Keselowski off turn four. He dives to the inside and they race side by side for the lead. Keselowski holds Hamlin off even as Hamlin has 18 laps fresher tires.

Lap 44, Blaney puts the bumper to Denny Hamlin for 2nd. Rain is on the way.

Lap 54, Hamlin puts the bumper to Blaney to retake 2nd.

Lap 57, Hamlin has a run off turn four. He drives it deep into turn one and clears him to take the lead. Keselowski fights back and retakes the lead!

Lap 61, Hamlin slides Keselowski for the lead yet again. He clears him for the second time to take the lead.

Lap 63, Jimmie Johnson is around and the caution is out. Johnson had the fastest car on the track just a few laps prior. He make contact with Clint Bowyer off turn two.

The leaders head to the pit lane. Blaney stays out. Hamlin will restart 9th, the first car with 4 tires.

Green, Blaney leads into turn one. Hamlin is charging to the front in a hurry!

6 to go in stage one, Hamlin is on the bumper of Blaney for the lead. Hamlin clears him with ease.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 110 (76-185 / 301)

Green flag on stage two, Hamlin is clear into turn one on the outside lane.

The caution is out for rain. Most the field heads for the pit lane. Harvick and Blaney stay out.

Green, Harvick noses ahead on the outside lane. Hamlin is on the charge once again behind them.

Hamlin looks inside and clears Harvick in turn one.

Lap 142, Keselowski has run down Hamlin for the lead. Keselowski clears him and Hamlin crosses right under him to retake the lead.

Keselowski clears him once more as he uses the lap car of Bubba Wallace as a pick. This time he holds it, Keselowski leads.

Lap 122, Christopher Bell is around and the caution is out!

Harvick, Blaney and others pitted just before the yellow!

Dillon wins the race off the pit lane with two tires. Keselowski is off 2nd with four new Goodyears.

Green, Keselowski leads on the inside lane into turn one. Hamlin quickly moves to 2nd.

Lap 179

Lap 179, Matt Kenseth is around from 13th and the caution is back out.

Green, Keselowski noses ahead of Hamlin on the outside. He wiggles and Hamlin powers to the lead on the inside.

Final lap in stage two, Hamlin gets loose. Keselowski works inside of Hamlin into turn three. He drives it deep into turn three and they drag race to the line off turn four.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 116 (186-301 / 301)

Green flag on stage three, Keselowski leads into turn one but Hamlin dives to the bottom as Almirola makes it three wide for the lead on the outside. Hamlin pops out with the lead on the inside.

Keselowski crosses under him. Hamlin fights back to retakes the lead on the outside.

Lap 197, Matt Kenseth is in the wall with a flat tire and the caution is out.

Green, Hamlin spins the tires after a push from Almirola. Keselowski leads into turn one.

Lap 205

Lap 205, Matt Kenseth is in the wall with another flat tire.

“We keep blowing tires every 5 laps anyway,” Kenseth says as he pulls to the garage.

The leaders head to the pit lane. Logano is off first with fuel only. Hamlin is off 2nd with four. Hamlin restarts 8th as many pitted on lap 200.

Green, Elliott noses ahead of Ryan Preece into turn one. Blanet takes 2nd. Hamlin quickly climbs to 4th.

Lap 214, John Hunter Nemechek is in the wall with a flat tire and the caution is back out.

Elliott and Blaney head for the pit lane. Hamlin is re-handed the lead.

Green, Hamlin leads on the inside into turn one.

81 to go, Keselowski is on the bumper of Hamlin for the lead. He dives to the inside and clear. The track has changed and the bottom is now the preferred groove on restarts as the PJ1 has worn off a bit on the top lane.
