Tonight, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are set to invade Florence Speedway. It’s night four and the final night at the dirt track in Florence, Kentucky.

Chris Ferguson and Jimmy Owens will set the front row for the feature event. They pull out onto the race track.
The field lines up in a four wide salute. The grandstands all full of dirt late model fans and they stand in anticipation of the start.

Feature – Report
There’s no track prep ahead of tonight’s main event.
Green flag, Ferguson and Owens run even into turn one. Richards looks under both of them to make it three wide for the lead in turn two. Owens wins the battle with outside momentum into turn three.
Lap 5, Overton to 2nd. Owens leads by 4 car lengths.
Lap 7, Mike Marlar is slow with a flat and the caution is out.
Green, Owens leads. Ferguson pushes up the banking in turn one and Overton holds 2nd.
Lap 10, the top 5 run nose to tail around the bottom.
Lap 13, Stormy Scott is backwards in turn one and the caution is out.
Green, Owens leads. Ferguson drives it deep on the outside in turn one but Overton holds 2nd on the bottom.
Lap 17, most of the field is glued to the bottom. They’re running over the inside berm in search of moisture in turn two. A handful are running the top.
Lap 28
Lap 28, Owens works heavy lap traffic. He moves to the middle to find a way by. Overton fills the inside lane and pulls even but hits the same lap car road block. Owens holds the lead.
Lap 31, the caution is out.
Green, Owens leads. Ferguson drives it deep through the middle in turn one. He clears Overton and crosses down the banking to take the inside lane away off turn two. Ferguson to 2nd.
Lap 37, Pierce is slow and the caution is out.
Green, Owens leads. Overton and Ferguson battle side by side into turn three, Overton retakes the spot.
Lap 41, Ricky Thornton Jr has found speed on the cushion. He takes Ferguson three wide and picks off two at once, Thornton Jr to 3rd.
Lap 47, Pierce picks up right rear damage. The caution is out.
Green, Owens leads. Overton and Ricky Thornton Jr run side by side for 2nd. Overton wins that battle on the inside lane.
Halfway
Lap 51, caution.
Green, Owens leads. Thornton Jr takes 2nd as he bounces the right rear on the cushion, inches from the wall.
Lap 55, Thornton Jr is closing on Owens.
Lap 56, Thornton Jr is there! Owens runs the middle but Thornton Jr is all over him.
Lap 57, caution for debris just as he was looking at the lead. It dropped off the right rear of the Thornton Jr machine. It looks like sheet metal.
Green, Owens leads. Thornton Jr works to his outside and pulls even in turn three but Owens wins the race off the bottom in turn four.
Lap 65, Thornton Jr slides Owens for the lead in turn three. Owens crosses under him to retake the spot. Overton moves back to 2nd as Thornton Jr is looking to get his momentum back.
Lap 73, the caution is back out.
Green, Owens leads. McCreadie to 2nd on the outside. McCreadie drives it deep on the outside in turn three and he pulls even with Owens. Owens gets the drive off the bottom. They rub doors off turn four but Owens holds the lead back into turn one.
Lap 74, caution.
Lap 75
Green, Owens leads McCreadie.
Lap 76, caution.
Green, Owens leads McCreadie.
Pierce is bouncing off the cushion behind them and coming to the front. He made several pit stops early in this race and was recently at the tail. Now, Pierce just made a badass pass on Marlar to take 7th. He cut off the cushion and rolled under Marlar as they rubbed doors and the wall.
Lap 78, caution for a car stopped in turn four.
Green, Owens leads.
Another caution, debris.
Lap 80
Green, Owens leads McCreadie. Josh Rice is beating off his rear spoiler as he runs the wall and climbs through the field.
Lap 81, Pierce is slow and the caution is back out.
Green, Owens leads McCreadie.
Lap 82, caution.
Green, Owens leads but McCreadie is all over him.
Lap 83, Buckingham is spun into turn one. He clips the tire barrier, comes to a stop and the caution is out yet again.
Green, Buckingham spins on his own, caution.
Green, McCreadie works the outside of Owens but he can’t complete the pass.
15 laps to go
Lap 85, McCreadie has a run into turn three. He drives it deep to the bottom and clears him with a slider.
Owens crosses under him off turn four. They run even into turn one. McCreadie holds the lead off turn two with the outside momentum.
10 to go, McCreadie is driving away.
