Indycar driver pranked in the bus lot as they await Indy 500

The golf kart was placed on cinder blocks and the wheels were removed

Indycar drivers completed their qualifying rounds on Sunday afternoon.

A whole week then rolls by as they await the Friday practice session. That’s ahead of Sunday’s Indy 500.

The driver buses remain parked on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, the drivers have next to nothing going on.

Someone found something to do. An unknown person pit Rossi’s gold kart on blocks, removed to the wheels then stacked them on the roof of the motorhome.

Rossi comments

Alexander Rossi commented as he returned to the scene, “So here’s the thing about pranks in the IMS bus lot…the list of potential culprits can be extensive. But one thing is for certain, once I find out who it is, payback is going to be a painful lesson.”

“I’ve gotta stand back and admit, that’s pretty funny. I wouldn’t have left the tires,” Jason Burgess, crew member of the No. 27 NAPA team commented.

The perpetrator remains unknown.

Rossi is a former Indy 500 champion. He’s scheduled to start from the 9th position in Sunday’s event.
