NASCAR results from Sunday at Dover International Speedway

Next up, it’s the final race of the weekend in Dover, Delaware. The NASCAR Cup Series is set for the green in the Drydene 311 at Dover International Speedway.

It’s the second Cup race of the weekend. The field has been inverted based on the results from Saturday’s race. Only the top 20 are inverted.

Matt DiBenedetto will roll from the pole position with Ryan Newman completes the front row. Saturday’s race winner, Denny Hamlin will start 20th.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 70 (1-70 / 311)

Green, DiBenedetto is clear by a car length into turn one. Newman and Almirola fight for 2nd, Almirola takes the spot on the outside.

Lap 6, Logano gets into the bumper of Ricky Stenhouse Jr off turn four. Stenhouse Jr is around and into the wall. Chase Elliott collects heavy damage as well as the field checked up. The caution is out.

Green, Almirola gets the jump on the inside and he takes the lead into turn one. Blaney moves into 2nd.

Lap 33

Lap 33, the caution is out for debris.

The leaders head for the pit lane. Blaney and others stay out. DiBenedetto is off first with two tires. Almirola is the first car to the pit exit with four.

Green, Blaney is clear of Byron by 6 car lengths off turn two.

9 to go in stage one, Harvick is flying trough the field. He looks inside of Keselowski for 3rd, clear. Byron and Blaney are several seconds up the road.

6 to go, Harvick runs high in turn three. He builds momentum and swings under Byron off turn four to take 2nd.

2 to go, Harvick has closed to within a car length of Blaney. Harvick enters high in turn three. He gets to the right rear of Blaney. Blaney is forced to lift to avoid stuffing him in the wall off turn four.

Red flag: Track officials are going to work to repair a crack in the race track.

Green flag on stage two, Harvick leads Blaney into turn one.

Lap 100, the caution is out as Corey LaJoie is sent around by Ty Dillon. LaJoie speeds up to mess with Ty Dillon under the caution laps.

The field heads to the pit lane. Logano wins the race to the pit exit. Harvick is off 2nd.

Green, Logano and Harvick run side by side into turn one. Logano clears him off turn two on the outside.

Lap 114

Lap 114, Harvick is all over Logano for the lead. Harvick is testing the outside lane.

Lap 115, Harvick drives it deep into turn one and he gets to the right rear of Logano off turn two. Logano is forced to lift and Harvick drives by on the outside. Harvick to the lead.

Lap 150, Harvick leads Logano by 3 seconds.

5 to go in stage two, Harvick leads Logano by 8 seconds.

Green flag on stage three, Harvick is clear before turn one.

Lap 200, Harvick leads Logano by 1.5 seconds.

Lap 216, Quin Houff is around on his own and the caution is out.

Green, Harvick leads. Hamlin and Logano run side by side for 2nd. Hamlin takes the 2nd spot away around the bottom.

84 to go, Hamlin to the pit lane under green! He has a vibration on the left front.

70 to go, Harvick leads Logano by 3 seconds.

65 to go, Jimmie Johnson puts the bumper to Cole Custer for 9th.

30 to go, Harvick leads Logano by 5 seconds.

23 to go

23 to go, LaJoie is slow and the caution is out!

Harvick leads the leaders to the pit lane. Johnson wins the race to the pit exit with two tires. Harvick is off 2nd with four.

Green, Johnson and Harvick run side by side into turn one. They remain side by side off turn two and into turn three. Harvick finally clears him on the inside in turn three.

14 to go, Truex finally clears Johnson to take 2nd.

7 to go, Harvick leads Truex Jr by 3 seconds.
