Braden Eves provides medical update after Indianapolis crash (Video)

Eves was involved in a horrific crash this week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; He provides an inspiring update from the hospital room

On September 3rd, the Indy Pro 2000 visited the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The series hosted two races for the division.

In Thursday’s event, Braden Eves qualified 6th. With three laps to go, he spun while racing for position.

Eves went airborne and landed upside down. He then bounced off the outside wall.

The 21-year-old was transported to the hospital after the crash. He remains in a hospital bed and is in recovery.

Eves is on the climb up the Indycar ladder as the 2019 USF2000 champion. He was promoted to the Indy Pro 2000 division for this season.

Braden Eves comments on the crash at Indianapolis

From the hospital, Eves provided an update.

“I’m ok, I just had a pretty nasty wreck,” Eves inspired all in the social media video below.

“I fractured a couple vertebrae in my neck as well as above my eye. I’m ok but I’m going to take some recovery time, for sure.”

“Hopefully I can get racing soon. Thanks everyone for reaching out to me. Hopefully I can see you guys at the track soon.”
