World of Outlaws results from the famed bullring of Huset’s Speedway

Tonight, the World of Outlaws make their return to the famed Huset’s Speedway. Drivers have unloaded and are ready for battle on the 3/8-mile oval.

This is the first World of Outlaws event at Huset’s Speedway in 4 years. Tod Quiring became the new owner of the track in August, saving it from the bulldozers.

The stakes have increased as $20,000 is on the line tonight in the final night of the two day show in South Dakota.

Gio Scelzi rolls to the starting line from the pole position. David Gravel completes the front row. Last night’s winner, Kyle Larson will be starting fourth.

Main Event – Report

Green flag, Scelzi gets the jump on the inside lane. Gravel and Madsen battle for 2nd. They cross and cross again. Madsen holds 2nd.

Lap 3, Gravel slides Madsen for 2nd in turn three, clear. Gravel to 2nd.

Lap 5, Wayne Johnson is upside down in turn four and the red flag is out. He made contact with Sammy Swindell.

Sheldon Haudenschild spun at the same time as the red in a exasperate incident in turn two. He’ll get his spot back as the caution was not for him.

Green, Scelzi leads Gravel and Larson into turn one.

Lap 9, Wayne Johnson has a flat tire and the caution is out.

Green, Scelzi gets the jump on Gravel. Carson Macedo clears Larson for 3rd and slides Gravel for 2nd into turn one. Macedo to 2nd!

Lap 13, Mason Daniel and Paige Polyak are upside down in turn two and the red flag is back out. Starks jumped the cushion ahead of them and stacked up the field behind him. Daniel and Polyak touched wheels and both rolled. Both drivers are ok.

Green, Scelzi gets the jump but Macedo hits the cushion in turn four. Macedo throws a slider in turn one and clears him for the lead. Scelzi crosses under him to retake the lead off turn two.

Gravel retakes 2nd.

Lap 20

Lap 20, sides spins. Macedo is collected and he spins as well. Macedo steps on the gas to avoid coming to a stop and being the caution. Macedo pops a wheelie and Haudenschild comes into the scene with nowhere to go, he slams into Macedo.

Haudenschild has a broken steering arm. The crew is going to work but they run out of time.

Green, Scelzi leads. Larson slides Gravel for 2nd. Macedo is in the wall at the flagstand and the caution is back out.

Green, Scelzi leads on the single file restart. Larson slides Gravel for 2nd.

13 to go, Larson is running down the race leader. He jumps the cushion in turn four and loses ground.

11 to go

11 to go, McCarl and Macedo make contact and both spin. McCarl comes to a stop and the caution is out.

Green, Larson gets the jump on the inside lane. Scelzi then jumps the cushion in turn one. Larson leads!

8 to go, Scelzi jumps the cushion in turn four and Gravel is all over him.

At the front, Larson is driving away from the field.

5 to go, Larson works heavy lap traffic.

3 to go, Jacob Allen spins and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads. James McFadden slides Scelzi for 2nd.
