This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green at the 3/4-mile in Richmond, Virginia. It’s the second of three race in the round of 16 step of the NASCAR Playoffs.

The race will be run under the lights on Saturday night. It’s the Federated Auto Parts 400, featuring 400 laps of stock car racing.

How do they set the lineup for Richmond?
There’s no practice or qualifying sessions for the rest of the year. Previously, race lineups were set via a random draw. Now, a weighted system determines the starting lineup.
