Tonight, it’s the final night of a three day dirt track event in Greenwood, Nebraska. The 4/10-mile oval of I-80 Speedway is set to host the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

The first two days of the show were used to set the starting lineups for Saturday’s finale. Now, $30,000 is on the line in the feature race.
Josh Richards and Brandon Overton set the front row for the main event. 80 laps of dirt late model racing are up next…

Feature – Report
Green flag, Richards and Overton run side by side into turn one. Richards drives it deep to the bottom, slides him and he’s clear off turn two.
Lap 3, Overton and Owens run side by side for 2nd. Overton holds the spot. McCreadie bounces off the cushion just behind them.
Lap 5, Overton has a run on Richards off turn two. Overton to the bottom in turn three. Richards pinches him down and holds the spot.
Lap 10, the caution is out for Billy Moyer Jr.
Green, Overton pulls even with Richards off turn two. Richards has the momentum and holds the lead into turn three.
Lap 15, McCreadie is all over Overton for 2nd. McCreadie enters high in turn one, he then cuts off the banking for a late apex to try and get a run. Several attempts later, Overton still holds 2nd.
Lap 24, Strickler slides Sheppard for 5th in turn one.
Top, middle and bottom, they’re racing all over this track throughout the field.
Lap 28, Owens picks off McCreadie and Overton. Owens to 2nd.
Lap 37, Owens has closed to the bumper of Richards. He drives it deep to the inside in turn one, clear. Owens leads off turn two.
Lap 49, McCreadie is on the bumper of Richards for 2nd.
Lap 50, the caution is out as Bobby Pierce has steam billowing out of the hood. He heads to the pit area with a push.
Green, Owens leads Richards and McCreadie.
Lap 53, McCreadie and Richards run side by side for 2nd. Strickler bounces off the cushion just behind them.
Lap 55, McCreadie slides Richards for 2nd. Richards washes over the cushion in dirty air and Strickler lightly tags his rear bumper.
20 to go, McCreadie is closing on Owens. Owens and McCreadie roll the middle in turn one.
16 to go, the caution is out.
Green, Owens, McCreadie and Richards run three wide into turn one. Owens holds the lead off turn two. Richards drops to 4th as Ricky Thornton Jr takes 3rd away.
10 to go, Landers is in the wall off turn two, caution.
Green, Owens leads. McCreadie and Thornton Jr nearly tangle as they race for 2nd.
3 to go, McCreadie is closing on Owens. He pulls the trigger, McCreadie drives it deep to the bottom in turn one and he slides Owens for the lead. McCreadie brushes the wall as he uses every inch of the track off turn two.
McCreadie opens the gap.
