Race Report
Green, Ty Gibbs gets the jump. Terrible start for Holmes as he drops to 5th. The field forms single file around the bottom off turn two.
Lap 6, Hailie Deegan is tucked right on the bumper of Ty Gibbs. The top 10 run nose to tail.
Lap 7, Drew Dollar looks under Hailie for 2nd.
Lap 8, Dollar has a run on Gibbs off turn two. He looks inside into turn three and they split lap traffic in turn four. Gibbs holds the lead.
Lap 12, Dollar looks inside of Gibbs for the lead. Gibbs is stuck on the outside, the train goes by on the inside and he falls out of the top 5.
Lap 19, Bret Holmes has a run on Dollar into turn one. Holmes to the inside and he’s clear off turn two, Holmes leads.
Lap 50, Holmes leads Michael Self by 2.2 seconds.
Lap 73, Holmes leads Dollar by 4 seconds.
Race Break 1
Lap 76, the caution is out for the first of two race breaks. The crew for Ty Gibbs is making a spring change on his machine.
Green, Holmes and Dollar run even at the line. Holmes drives is a car length deeper on the bottom in turn one. Sam Mayer moves into 2nd.
Lap 84, Dollar looks inside of Deegan just as Gus Dean was looking inside of Dollar. Dollar cuts across the nose of Dean as Deegan was coming down on Dollar. Dollar is around and the caution is out.
Green, Holmes gets the jump as Mayer and Gibbs run side by side for 2nd. Mayer falls to 4th as he gets trapped on the outside.
Lap 100, Holmes leads Gibbs by 1 second.
Lap 149, Holmes is driving away from the field. He leads Ty Gibbs by 13 seconds.
Race Break 2
Lap 150, the caution is out for the 2nd and final race break.
Green, Holmes and Gibbs run side by side into turn one. They remain side by side off turn two! Gibbs drives it deep into the corner on the outside into turn three. Gibbs to the lead with the first outside pass of the night off turn four.
30 to go, Gibbs leads Holmes by 0.5 seconds.
10 to go, Gibbs leads Holmes by 1.7 seconds.
7 to go, Taylor Gray is around with a flat left rear! The caution is out!
Green, Gibbs leads as Holmes spins the tires on the outside. Sam Mayer takes over 2nd.
White flag, Gibbs leads Mayer by 2 car lengths. Chandler Smith and Hailie Deegan rub doors for 4th.
