NASCAR driver Noah Gragson has a bloody nose in the car during Las Vegas race

A unique program for a NASCAR driver…

Today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series is on track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s the Alsco 300 in Nevada.

Noah Gragson is a contender in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. Las Vegas is the opening round of the post regular season for the Xfinity division.

Gragson has struggled in the last month despite winning two races earlier in the season at Daytona and Bristol. However, in the last 8 races, he only has one top-3 finish which he claimed at Daytona International Speedway.

Gragson started today’s Vegas race in 6th. He then drove to 4th by the conclusion of stage one.

The crew made changes on a pit stop ahead of stage two. Gragson is now moving forward.

While in a battle for third, he shared an update with the crew…

“I’ve got a bloody nose,” Noah Gragson told his crew over the radio during the race.

“Yeah, give me like a paper towel or something. Rollbar padding, shove it up in my nose.”

The crew responded, “That will be pretty comfy.”

Soon after, Gragson rolled by Anthony Alfredo to take 3rd position. Just a handful of laps later, Gragson took 2nd from Ryan Sieg.

With the nosebleed, he’s still at it. Gragson is currently on the bumper of Chase Briscoe and looking for the race lead. The race is still underway.

Dale Earnhardt Jr shares a nosebleed story

“I’ve had a bloody nose after the race. But, not in the car,” NBC announcer Jeff Burton said after the radio was played on TV.

But, Dale Earnhardt Jr, the car owner for Noah Gragson, had a similar situation.

“I had one during a race at Sonoma. Chad Knaus was the crew chief. Chad came over to my car after the race, I guess to probably punch me in the nose. But, he saw somebody beat him to it.”

Dale Jr added, “I was having a bloody nose during the race. He walked up to me to probably punch me. He’s like, ‘Oh, somebody’s already been here.’ “
