Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 60 (1-60 / 188)

Green flag, Hamlin gets the jump on the inside lane. Kurt Busch pulls even on the outside into turn three.

Big crash behind them on lap 1! Christopher Bell had a flat tire and cut across traffic into turn three. Tyler Reddick and others are collected.

Green, Hamlin leads on the outside lane. He blocks both lanes down the backstretch.

Lap 9, Ricky Stenhouse Jr is around after a push from Nemechek and he tags the inside wall to bring out the caution.

Green, Truex Jr checks up on the inside to let his teammate drop to the bottom. Corey LaJoie is stalled behind them and the caution is back out.

Green, Truex checks up and Hamlin drops to the bottom.

Lap 17, Logano has a run on Hamlin for the lead. Logano drives right by on the outside with a push from Kevin Harvick.

Lap 19, Hamlin noses back ahead and he throws a massive block on Logano off turn four. Logano give him a shot on the bumper and Hamlin holds the lead.

Competition caution

Lap 26, Hamlin leads as the competition caution is out.

The field heads to the pit lane. Almirola is off first with tires onle. Logano, Bowyer and then Hamlin follow.

Green, Almirola gets the jump with a push from Matt DiBenedetto. Blaney takes the top spot away.

Lap 35, Blaney leads on the inside. Erik Jones leads a charge from the outside lane. Jones to the lead.

Lap 45, Ryan Blaney leads. He blocks runs from both lanes.

Lap 53, Chase Elliott to the lead on the outside.

6 to go in stage one, Kurt Busch to the lead. Almirola tucks out of line and they leave Kurt Busch like he’s on the brakes.

3 to go in stage one, Joey Logano pushes Alex Bowman into the back Almirola. He hooks him, the leader slides across the track. Kyle Busch, Blaney and others are collected.

Stage one will finish under caution. Chris Buescher wins stage one at Talladega!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 60 (61-120 / 188)

Buescher leads them to the pit lane. Chase Elliott wins the race to the pit exit.

Green flag on stage two, Brad Keselowski gets the jump on Elliott.

Kyle Busch has a flat left front. He’s lost a fender and the caution is out.

Green, Buscher leads Keselowski.

Lap 75, Erik Jones has a run on the outside. He drives by Buscher with a push from McDowell.

Lap 78, the outside lane fades. Buescher holds the lead.

Lap 83, Erik Jones back to the lead on the outside. Keselowski gets loose on the inside but he saves it.

Lap 86, the Chevy group heads to the pit lane.

Lap 87, caution for debris after Ryan Blaney tags the wall.

Green, Chase Elliott leads into turn one.

Lap 107, Jimmie Johnson leads a train on the outside. He pulls even with Chase Elliott.

Lap 109

Lap 109, big crash! Clint Bowyer is on the bumper of Johnson. Johnson gets loose through the tri-oval and clips Kurt Busch. Kurt Busch is sent straight into the outside wall, after contact he’s sent airborne. 10+ cars are collected and the caution is out.

Green, Elliott is clear before turn one. Matt DiBenedetto is on the bumper of Logano, Logano is pushed to the lead.

4 to go in stage one, Truex Jr leads a charge on the outside lane. He pulls even with Logano and clear. Truex blocks both lanes.

Martin Truex Jr wins stage two at Talladega Superspeedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 68 (121-188 / 188)

Green flag on stage three, Truex Jr leads on the inside. Keselowski has a run on the outside down the back, Keselowski leads.

61 to go, Tyler Reddick gets a push by Alex Bowman. Reddick leads with heavy nose damage from the lap 1 crash. Keselowski quickly works around him to retake the lead.

60 to go, three wide for the lead! Bubba Wallace leads a charge on the outside lane, Wallace leads.

54 to go, Keselowski has a huge run. Wallace can’t block it, Keselowski leads.

52 to go, Logano to the lead off the top with a push from Byron.

48 to go

48 to go, Joey Logano leads a single file train around the top of the track.

41 to go, the caution is out for debris.

Green, Logano is clear before turn one.

36 to go, Byron has a run on the outside. Logano tries to block, too late. Byron leads. Logano quickly retakes the lead.

32 to go, Logano leads as the field runs single file around the outside lane.

30 to go, Chase Elliott dives to the bottom to lead a charge on the inside. Elliott to the lead.

27 to go, Bubba Wallace leads.

26 to go, Logano back to the lead.

20 to go, Chase Elliott fights back on the inside with help from Byron. Elliott back to the lead. It’s the top lane vs the bottom at Talladega.

17 to go

17 to go, Logano leads with Keselowski on his bumper. They remain in the middle lane as the bottom lane fades.

11 to go, Bubba Wallace leads a train on the inside lane. He pulls even with Logano for the lead and clear.

10 to go, Keselowski locks bumpers with Logano to push both of them way out front. Wallace closes right back to his door, 2 by 2 for the lead.

8 to go, Bubba Wallace leads and he blocks both lanes.

6 to go

6 to go, Logano works inside of Wallace. Wallace brushes the wall off turn two, no caution.

James Davison spins and the caution is out.

— OVERTIME (GWC) —

Green, Logano leads on the bottom into turn one. Logano moves to the top off turn two to block a run from DiBenedetto.

Coming to the white, Elliott has a run in turn four. He looks to the outside, Logano blocks. Elliott dives to the inside and runs the apron to work under Logano. Elliott leads but he’s lost momentum.

Crash behind them! Kyle Busch gets turned through the tri-oval. Logano, Harvick and others are collected. The red flag is out.

Penalty: Joey Logano has been penalized for pushing Chase Elliott below the yellow line.

Green, Elliott leads with a push from Preece.

Bubba Wallace throws a massive block down the back to catch a run from the outside lane. Wallace gets turned in turn three. The caution is out.

— OVERTIMEx3 (GWC) —

23 cars remain in the race. Chase Elliott pits from the race lead, he’s out of fuel. DiBenedetto and Hamlin take over the front row.

Green, DiBenedetto and Hamlin run even into turn one. DiBenedetto noses ahead on the inside off turn two.

White flag, Buescher is locked on the bumper of DiBenedetto. Byron has a run on both of them, he fades as Erik Jones pushes on DiBenedetto.

Jones is in the wall in turn three. DiBenedetto throws a block. Hamlin is forced to the apron. Byron joins the battle.

They run three wide and bang doors for the win off turn four! They drag race to the line.

Denny Hamlin wins at Talladega Superspeedway!
