Freddie Carpenter hasn’t competed in the Dirt Track World Championship since it was hosted at Atomic Speedway. Now, the Kryptonite house car program is set to unload in Portsmouth, Ohio.

The #C4 team will have a very different look for the special event. A ‘Back the Blue’ wrap will take to the 0.375-mile oval.

The car has already been unloaded ahead of the race weekend. On Thursday, the car sat in front of the Wood County Justice Center in Parkersburg, WV.

“Had the honor of going downtown Parkersburg to the Wood County Justice Center and meeting with local law enforcement so they could be the first ones to see our #backtheblue tribute car,” the team stated via social media.

“The sacrifice these brave men and women make to keep us all safe sadly does not get enough appreciation nowadays. This is our way of saying thank you for everything you all do! Next stop, Portsmouth Raceway Park for the $100,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship!”

“Beyond excited to debut such a special design for the biggest race of the season! I believe now more than ever we need to stand up and defend the great men and women of law enforcement, while often times they are the only shield we have to protect us from the evil lurking in our country! #WeBackTheBlue”

Sheriff Steve Stephens

The Police department stood with the car in the debut.

Sheriff Steve Stephens stated via his personal social media page, “How is this for someone showing support for our Wood County law enforcement?!?! Thank you to Fast Freddy Carpenter and his crew for bringing their Kryptonite “Back the Blue” race car down to the Wood County Justice Center today.”

The Sheriff added, “He is getting ready to participate in the Dirt Track World Championship in Portsmouth, Ohio this weekend. Hopefully, Freddy will do well and this beauty will be in the winner’s circle. Thank you for your support for law enforcement!”

The Dirt Track Championship is a three day show. The Friday and Saturday portions of the event feature the national Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series touring division. The finale on Saturday will pay $100,000 to the feature race winner.
