Today, the NASCAR Cup Series unloads in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s the second of three races in the Round of 8 for the NASCAR Playoffs.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 105 (1-105 / 334)

Green flag, Kevin Harvick gets the jump on the inside lane.

Lap 5, Chris Buescher is around in turn two and the caution is out.

Lap 22, JJ Yeley is around off turn two, he backs it into the wall and the caution is out.

Green, Harvick leads on the bottom in turn one. Hamlin gets loose on the bumper of Bowman, Hamlin goes way up the banking and drops from 4th, to out of the top 20.

Lap 29, Harvick is in the wall as he runs wide off turn two! No caution as Bowman takes over the lead. Harvick heads to the pit lane under green.

Lap 32, Custer brushes the wall off turn two, no caution. Rain and mist are in the area, it’s causing chaos for the drivers.

The caution is out for rain. The leaders head for the pit lane. Clint Bowyer takes over the lead.

Lap 52, the red flag is out due to weather.

Three days later…

It’s now Wednesday and the rain is set to resume after 3 days of postponements due to weather.

Green flag, Clint Bowyer leads into turn one.

Lap 62, Kenseth gets loose, as he checks up, Hamlin gets into his bumper and turns him around. Bubba Wallace is collected. The caution is out as Kenseth and Wallace are done for the day.

Lap 76, caution for debris.

3 to go in stage one, Bowyer pushes up the banking off turn two as he puts cars a lap down. Truex has a run but Bowyer throws a huge block into turn three and he holds the lead.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 105 (106-210 / 334)

The field hits the pit lane. No tires for Alex Bowman. Clint Bowyer is off the pit lane in 2nd with four fresh tires.

Green flag on stage two, Alex Bowman wins the race into turn one. Bowyer and Truex battle for 2nd.

Lap 134, Joey Gase gets spun by William Byron and collects the outside wall. The caution is out.

The field returns to the pit lane. Blaney wins the race to the pit exit with no tires.

Green flag, Blaney leads Martin Truex Jr.

Lap 156, Blaney runs wide off turn two. Truex Jr dives to the bottom and gets to his number. Truex Jr has the momentum down the back and he clears him into turn three, Truex Jr leads.

Lap 176, Harvick has cracked the top 10 after hitting the wall in Sunday’s portion of the race. However, he’s now on pit lane with a vibration.

Lap 198, green flag pit stops are underway. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch drives right by Truex Jr to take the lead. Truex Jr ran out of fuel, he flipped the reserve switch.

Lap 202, Chase Elliott returns to pit lane for tires. He picked up a vibration after leaving the pit lane just a few laps prior.

3 to go in stage two, Kyle Busch cycles back to the race lead.

78 to go, Clint Bowyer is out of fuel. He hits the pit lane under green while running 2nd.

75 to go, Kyle Busch leads Treux Jr by 7 seconds.

55 to go, Kyle Busch has cycled by to the race lead with the green flag pit cycle complete. He leads Clint Bowyer by 1 second but Bowyer can’t make it on fuel. Truex Jr is 5.5 second back in 3rd.

53 to go, Jimmie Johnson is on the pit lane with the hood up and smoke exiting the exhaust pipes.

52 to go, Kyle Busch lets Bowyer by. He tucks in on his draft to save fuel, this is a fuel race.

23 to go, Bowyer hits the pit lane. Kyle Busch is handed the lead.

15 to go, Kyle Busch leads Martin Truex Jr by 1 second.
