Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 130 (1-130 / 500)

Green flag, Keselowski clears Truex into turn one.

Lap 5, Truex looks to the inside of Keselowski for the lead, clear. Hamlin puts the bumper to Keselowski and he takes 2nd away.

Lap 55, Chase Elliott is on the bumper of Truex for the race lead.

Lap 61, the competition caution is out. The field heads for the pit lane.

Lap 73, Clint Bowyer throws a block on Almirola. Almirola is already there and Almirola is around. The caution is out.

Lap 88, Chase Elliott rubs on the rear bumper of Truex for the race lead. Elliott is clear.

Lap 104, Garrett Smithley has rolled to a stop and the caution is out. Many hit the pit lane, including Hamlin. Hamlin will restart just outside the top 5.

Green, Elliott leads. Bowyer puts the bumper to Almirola for 4th!

Lap 113

Lap 113, Hamlin has driven to 2nd and he’s all over Elliott for the lead. Hamlin dives to the inside and clear, Hamlin leads.

Lap 115, Joey Gase is around off the bumper of Quin Houff and the caution is out.

Denny Hamlin crusies to the win in stage one at Martinsville Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 130 (131-260 / 500)

The field hits the pit lane. No tires for Elliott, he wins the race to the pit exit. Hamlin is off 2nd with four. Elliott will restart in row three as many stayed out.

Green flag on stage two, Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch run side by side for the lead. Kurt Busch wins that battle on the outside lane.

Lap 146, Chris Buescher is up in smoke with nose damage and the caution is out.

Lap 162, Elliott gives the bumper to Kurt Busch. Busch chases it up the track and Elliott looks to the inside in turn three. Busch pinches him down but Elliott returns to the lead.

Lap 184

Lap 184, Kevin Harvick hits the pit lane with a flat tire! He was running 24th, now he’s on the pit lane under green.

Lap 185, Brennan Poole is in the wall and the caution is out. The break of a lifetime for Harvick as he’ll be just one lap down at the restart.

Lap 216, Ryan Preece is around with help from John Hunter Nemechek and the caution is out.

Elliott pits from the lead, 16 cars stay out.

Green, Hamlin wins the race into turn one.

Lap 239, Elliott has sliced through the field on 20 laps newer tires. Elliott crosses under Hamlin off turn four and Elliott wins the battle on the inside lane. Elliott returns to the lead!

Chase Elliott wins stage two at Martinsville Speedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 240 (261-500 / 500)

The field hits the pit lane. Elliott wins the race to the pit exit. Hamlin is forced to return to the pit lane with loose lug nuts, he’ll restart toward the tail.

Green flag on stage three, Elliott leads Truex Jr off turn two.

Lap 320, Jimmie Johnson has a flat tire. No caution, he heads to the pit lane under green.

Lap 352, Timmy Hill has a flat right rear and the caution is out.

The field hits the pit lane. Slow stop for Elliott and Logano wins the race to the pit exit.

Penalty review: Crew over the wall too soon for Chase Elliott. The crew calls for a review, the call has been reversed as the crew member stopped and ran back to the wall after jumping too soon.

Green, Logano leads Blaney off turn two.

Lap 367, Blaney doors Logano as they race for the lead. Logano holds him off for now as Blaney then gives him another shot in the rear bumper. Blaney enters high into turn three, he then crosses under him off turn four. Blaney wins the race into turn one on the bottom.

Lap 399

Lap 399, James Davison comes to a stop and the caution is out. Harvick is now back on the lead lap as he gets the free pass.

The field heads for the pit lane. Blaney leads them to pit entry but Logano wins the race to the pit exit.

Pit penalty: Keselowski will go to the tail after speeding on the pit lane.

Green, Truex Jr drives it deep on the outside into turn one. Truex Jr clears Logano and takes the race lead!

60 to go, William Byron backs it into the fence and the caution is out. He was running 14th.

The field hits the pit lane. Corey Lajoie is the only car to stay out.

Green, Truex Jr clears LaJoie for the lead. Chase Elliott quickly takes 2nd.

44 to go

44 to go, Elliott puts the bumper to Truex Jr. Elliott works under him as Truex Jr runs up the banking. Elliott to the race lead.

26 to go, Martin Truex Jr hits the pit lane with a loose wheel!

10 to go, Chase Elliott is driving away. Hamlin and Keselowski are +1 point at the cutline. Harvick is 1 point below the cutline.

Chase Elliott wins at Martinsville Speedway!

Harvick spins Kyle Busch but he wrecks himself in the process. Harvick misses the 2020 playoffs!
